Crowdsourcing time. Anybody have photos of boarding maps/transit center maps/station area maps from different transit systems? I'm looking to collect as many examples as I can for a project. Thanks in advance!

They started texting with a 16-year-old. After two years, they offered to sell him a gun. They consider that "stopping a terrorist attack." And they are calling it heroic. What an absolute embarrassment.

I'm grateful for the heroic work of law enforcement that prevented a mass shooting and terrorist attack at the Mall of America. This shows why we continue to need major coordinated investments in anti-terrorism and local law enforcement to stop attacks like these.

Yet another example of how looking only at (King County) Metro's ridership recovery misses the forest for the trees.

Looking at hotels in London for my upcoming trip. Anyone have thoughts on the following neighborhoods: Paddington, South Kensington, South Bank (but like, a little south of it), Bloomsbury (nearest St Pancras)? Any input would be welcome!

All I've ever wanted for my entire adult life is for destructive choices to not be subsidized by society.

A lot of people like sprawl. While we should not subsidize it like we do today, I believe that people should be allowed to have what they want and are willing to pay for. (Most people won’t be willing to pay the actual cost of insuring a house in the woods in the time of climate change wildfires.)

Interim Police Chief Based Complaint Against Detective on Right-Wing Characterization of Anti-Trans Initiative In his interview with a city investigator, interim Chief Sayles said he still hadn’t read the initiative and appeared unfamiliar with SPD’s policy on political speech.

More examples of boarding maps I've photographed through my travels (or found on agency sites).

Safety doesn't stop at historic district lines. Less busy bodies = less traffic violence.

After a very long debate, this amendment was just APPROVED. The vote was 3-2, with CMs Rinck, Foster and Lin in favor and Saka and Kettle against. There are some outstanding concerns around the amendment's exact language, so I would expect additional tweaks when the bill comes to full council.

In 2027, four new speed camera locations are set to become 24/7. They will be Seattle's first 24/7 speed cameras after decades of enforcing speeds in school zones. The locations were chosen based on a prevalence of speeding and serious crashes. Story: www.theurbanist.org/seattles-spe...
