Hey guys I noticed that in English translations of Japanese media the text is like… not in Japanese? Isn’t that kind of weird? Like I can hear the dialogue and it’s in Japanese but it’s like not in Japanese in the text, it’s just kinda strange, you know?

That's obviously just oversimplifying it there are a ton of really well explored, subtle, and nuanced themes in this film. Like it goes everywhere. I'm gonna be thinking about it for a long time

Village in the Shade might end up as my game of the year....... I wish it had a manual save feature though, especially when some story sections end up going really long.

The one thing I haven't seen done well in a farming game up to now is a central story. If there's a plot, it's usually very thin and along the edges of the gameplay (like in Stardew Valley and Fields of Mystria) and you don't get much from characters outside of relationship rank-up convos.

Over the last few years I've gotten more into farming sim games and this one delivers with a robust farming element and a really good main plot, plus the night time events shake up the gameplay in a way that really breaks up the usual monotony that comes with farming games.
