Spare a thought for the poor BritNats. They had such high hopes for Operation Branchform. It looked so promising for them and turned into such a disappointment. 1/5

Thirdly, Murrell pled guilty. That wasn’t meant to happen. It means they are denied the show trial they all wanted, with saturation coverage and lots and lots of media speculation. 4/5

So the poor darlings are feeling upset. And as a result they are all over SM, trying to smear pretty much everyone in the SNP and ensure the whole party is convicted in the court of public opinion. It’s annoying, but bear in mind they are children whose favourite toy has been taken away. 5/5

Firstly, they didn’t get Nicola Sturgeon. They didn’t want Murrell. They wanted her, and they wanted her dragged away in chains. But, even after 4 years of investigating, the police couldn’t find anything with which to charge her (and they 100% would have if they could - remember the murder tents).

Secondly, they didn’t get the trial date they wanted - right smack before the Holyrood election. The general feeling seems to be they were entitled to this as a propaganda coup. (Why not, I suppose, given how stage managed the entire operation was from the start)? 3/5

Well said, John. Bravo.

Watch as John Swinney warns Malcolm Offord's homophobic joke 'is a warning to this country of what is coming our way' as Reform starts its election campaign 🎥

Every day I see another post on FB from someone telling Indy supporters not to vote SNP on the Holyrood list vote. It’s so frequent I’m starting to think it’s Unionist bots. The SNP aren’t polling as highly as they were in the constituencies. They may well pick up list seats. If the votes are there.

The poster almost always says to vote Alba, who are unlikely to win any seats, and most of whom have a massive grudge against the SNP. If your aim was to con Indy supporters into wasting their list votes and reducing the chances of a pro-Indy majority, this is exactly what you would want.

We've spent ten years being proved right about all the things the loudest, biggest voices in the UK media insisted, often obnoxiously, we were wrong about. The real kicker is that there's no consolation whatsoever in being correct. Brexit, Putin, Johnson, Truss, Trump, Twitter, Netanyahu etc etc...

I have watched the footage of the shooting in Minneapolis. To me, she was frightened and trying to get away from a masked paramilitary force. What is absolutely certain is that shooting her was utterly disproportionate. No two ways about it - this was a murder.

There’s a million posts like this, but they are all saying the same thing. America, there are masked secret police on the streets of your country. They believe they are above the law and cannot be held to account. This is not tolerable in a modern democracy. Please do something about it.

This photo was taken just as the ICE agent killed a 37-year old American citizen and mother who had just dropped off her 6-year old daughter at school. The officer is not in danger and was not injured. There is no riot. (Trump lies.) He is standing at the open window and killing the woman.

Righteous anger is not a sin. It is the pulse of justice beneath your ribs, the spark that refuses to die when the world tells you to be silent, polite, patient. It is holy fire, dangerous only to those who built their empires on the backs of the broken and the hungry. 1/4

Just like everything else relating to this loathsome man and his fascistic party, this is based on lies.

Reform is taking aim at the European Convention on Human Rights. “This,” it says, “is how we reduce immigration.” But is this reality? In short no, not remotely. Here are the facts. @goodlawproject.bsky.social goodlawproject.org/nigel-farage...

Corridor care is now a year-round reality. Almost 3 in 5 physicians reported delivering care in a temporary space over the summer, according to our latest snapshot survey. We’re calling on the #NHS & governments to address & prevent this practice for good. 🔗 ow.ly/g4aj50XeLFL

Historians sometimes say that when societies are descending into fascism, it can be hard for the people to notice it in real time. Well, historians of the future: We are noticing. From Chicago to Portland, James Comey to Letitia James, and so much else—this is no longer America.

She and her husband ought to be arrested, tried, and likely imprisoned. Her peerage is a very secondary issue in comparison. The SNP suffered a 4-year investigation and multiple arrests over £666k in party donations. £121m of public money stolen here, and not an arrest or a murder tent in sight.

I truly hope that one day, in the not too distant future, I’ll be a citizen of an independent Scotland, which is a full member of the EU, and whose government implements the (mostly progressive) policies the electorate voted for. You know, a normal country like any other.

What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders? Defibrillation (an electric shock) can only restart a heart if it has gone into a specific, disorganised rhythm. If you have died because you (for example) bled out, shocking won’t do anything at all.

For years, Unionists warned that independence would bring economic collapse, isolation, and political instability. They painted a grim picture of Scotland struggling to survive. Yet ironically, their lies have come true - not because of independence, but because Scotland remains in the UK.

Can’t post on the original thread. However, the truth about JKR is that she is absolutely unable to admit she was wrong about anything. If challenged, she invariably doubles down. Eventually she became thoroughly nasty. She did the exact same thing with her opposition to Scottish independence.
