In 1969 WMAR-TV reporter Susan White interviewed DON RICKLES on location in Yugoslavia whilst he was shooting “Kelly’s Heroes” (working title at the time “The Warriors”). RICKLES had a reputation for not letting reporters get a word in edgeways, so Susan decided to hilariously turn the tables…

We received a gift of a lot of flour & corn tortillas and pitas. We won’t be able to eat all of these plain before they go bad - anyone have recipes for what I can do with them? Tortilla lasagna? Pita layer cake? Bread stir fry? Would love some ideas.

Been watching the first season of Battlestar Galactica from the early 2000s and the focus on the threats of AI, fascism and freedom makes this show feel incredibly relevant in 2026. Any other older shows you’ve been watching that are taking on new relevance in the times we’re living through?

I’m seeing a lot of articles talking about Trump’s speech where he called on foreign powers to attack my home. What I want to talk about were the Nebraskans behind him cheering at the idea that I and my neighbors would be killed.

I know I repost too much political stuff, but watching this guy stammer under the spotlight when his hypocrisy is exposed is a genuine pleasure.

Puy du Fou France 🇫🇷 is one of the most unique theme parks in Europe park focuses on grand-scale live historical shows, immersive walkthrough villages, and cinematic special effects.

Over the past week my feed has started filling up with people reposting political cartoons made by AI. These cartoons look pretty hood, but the actual content is so infantile compared to political cartoons made by actual cartoonists that I find their popularity depressing.

While I do see the value of having elected officials that will comment on the obvious corruption we're seeing in the Trump administration, it's driving me INSANE how few of them end with "...and this is what we're doing about it."

this graduation speech moment is notable, and her amazed shock at having failed to read the room feels instructive. when you're inside the bubble, you think everybody else is. but everybody isn't.

Republicans officially select accused pedophile to represent them in Ohio elections. If decent people can’t retake Congress with opponents like these, then America really is over.

Here’s how the Editorial Cartoonists are reacting to Wednesday’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais. Some of the most accurate commentary during the Reconstruction period came from Cartoonists like Thomas Nast. Needless to say, the reaction to the decimation of the Voting Rights Act has been pointed…

Trying an experiment: whenever I log on to Facebook I only read until I see something that angers me, or triggers another negative emotion. After that, I leave Facebook for at least a few hours, if not the rest of the day. Can we train the algorithm? Last time I did it I made it 2 posts in.

Soooo, anyone else notice that the number of statements of "I don't believe this was a genuine attack" waaaaaay outnumber the statements of shock about yet another assassination attempt? I'm not saying that it was a false flag attack, I'm saying it doesn't matter anymore: no one believes him.

If we bought a few less bombs, we could probably afford nice things. One thing I'd like to see from the next presidency would be to appoint a special commission to prepare a report on the actual cost to defend the United States from attack. Not foreign wars. Just the cost to defend this country.

I’ve spent the past two weeks trying to get my representative, Laura Friedman, to answer if she’s going to continue taking money from AIPAC. So far, her offices have refused and referred me to a campaign committee number that no one has ever answered or responded to messages.

Today I wrote and called a bunch of local newspapers and tv news stations to see if any of them would be willing to help find out her position. Any other ideas on how to proceed?

Hey, just remember, when the windbag finally bites it it’ll be totally fine to celebrate his death the way he celebrates the deaths of others. It’s what he would have wanted.

The wrong guy died today.

I’ll admit, I haven’t actually seen one on fire yet, but the Tesla cafe near me is pretty much always empty, so I don’t see a large sample.

The Ford Pinto had a death rate of 85 people for 10 million cars sold. The Cybertruck hasn't sold 10 million, but the fatality rate so far maths out to 1,452 people killed per 10 million sold. The Cybertruck may be the deadliest road car, for the occupants, ever sold. fuelarc.com/evs/its-offi...

What if the Trump administration is actually just a fascism vaccine, and the stuff we're living through is the white blood cells of democracy learning to recognize and destroy a threat?
