No doubt this has occurred to other bystanders as well, but it would seem that a handful of billionaires dropping $150 million into a single state's election in an attempt to defeat a wealth-tax initiative just about makes the entire case for a wealth-tax initiative.

So we are warring with Iran And Russia is supplying weaponry to Iran. And we are paying Russia to send us diesel fuel. Because we are warring with Iran the ships with the diesel can't get to us. So we are buying it from Russia, which... Yeah, this is some three-dimensional chess right here.

If you’re shocked by a Senator who doesn’t know the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes, wait until you hear about the president who only recently learned that dumb is spelled with a b. 🤣 🤪 😂

Before calling someone a “dirtbag,” the Senator should have had his facts straight. An apology is in order. Glad one of us knew the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes!

Not making it up: Just boarded a Southwest flight and as I passed the cockpit, pilot and copilot were telling a flight attendant about being furries. Regrettably for the intellectual powerhouse that is the U.S. senator from Alabama, in the next breath they started laughing and called him an idiot.

The billions of dollars we send to a foreign military to drop bombs on somebody else should have been spent to build schools, housing, and to provide healthcare HERE.

Fmr U.S. Ambassador to Canada Blanchard: "Most people realize that Trump, you can't attribute rationality to him. He's not well physically, mentally, emotionally. And he's surrounded by third-rate staff members and cabinet members who really can't tell him the truth without having him lash out."

Dear Mainstream Media, H. Piker is not on the ballot. GOP fascists ARE on the ballot. Talk about that!

On some level, I think a lot of Dems just aren't willing to say flat out that Trump and Trumpism have failed in a very profound way. Dems have internalized the idea that this is too much for voters to hear. That's the source of a lot of problems. It's needlessly self-constraining.

The bigger story here is that Trump's collapse is the direct result of the three pillars of right wing populist nationalism all failing disastrously. Mass deportations, America First foreign policy, and now tariffs/trade wars are all getting badly discredited. 5/ newrepublic.com/article/2146...

The United States and Canada have been friends, partners, and allies for more than 150 years across 32 presidential administrations. And now, solely because of the arrogance, incompetence, and ego of the current occupant of the White House, that relationship is being driven straight toward a cliff.

This story is a bit wild. After Elon Musk's DOGE erased decades of USAID data, it was assumed to be lost. But a Canadian college student had previously downloaded much of it in high school for a project. 4,000 PDFs. Thanks again, Canada. Yet again. www.aiddata.org/blog/before-...

I wasn’t aware the Secret Service had the authority to put the lives of dozens of White House staffers, journalists and military personnel at risk as a means of protecting the president. Or, by extension, to trade their lives for his. (Spoiler alert: They don’t.)

The White House decided there was a threat so great that Donald Trump was secretly moved to another plane but they never told the passengers on Air Force One. Cowards look out for themselves. Leaders look out for their people.

When it comes to your children’s health, listen to doctors. Not a president who once told Americans to inject bleach. The American Academy of Pediatrics’ immunization recommendations have not changed.

Sounds like Blanche wants to sign off of the language that senators requested to kill Trump’s IRS immunity and slush fund so he can get the gig but his client won’t let him. Not really how any of this is supposed to work, but this is a lawless organized crime operation.

The Fauci hearing perfectly illustrated how living through a once in a century pandemic somehow made Republicans far worse on public health. God forbid we face anything like covid again during Trump 2.0. There will be no Dr Fauci around to try to talk sense to Trump.

Every and any vote for Todd Blanche is a vote for grown men fucking underage girls with legal impunity. This is a sentence that contains no hyperbole and that is nonetheless shocking and debilitating to write. That's how depraved this administration is.

Why would a noncitizen stick their neck out and intentionally illegally vote, with deportation as the penalty (plus criminal sanctions), to have a minuscule impact on an election? It would be completely irrational (and it basically never happens).
