I’m a still masking (because Covid, measles, and science deniers are real) mom to 4, college professor, Ed psych PhD! I’m also an author and fierce ally to the disabled, LGBTQ +, neurodiverse, POC, every other marginalized group!

Rehabilitation and support rather than stigma. Keep supporting these gentlemen by purchasing their books.

Here's what the media won't show you: three formerly incarcerated Black men who are now authors. You can learn a lot from their stories. This BLACK-owned online bookstore has their books in stock ✊🏾📚 #booksky #blackbooksky #blacksky

1/6 I have to laugh a bit when I hear people call Sanders a "Socialist." Mainly because they have no idea what Socialism is and think of Russia. That's Marxism-Leninism Socialism; it all belongs to the government. Then there is another reality that the American people don't seem to understand:

Just over a year ago, I successfully defended my dissertation and earned my Dr title. In 6 months or so, I’ll have another master’s degree. This time from an elite university. The little girl who lined up her stuffies to teach them would be beaming. Go for your dreams, friends!

Yes! Term limits are good!

BREAKING: Congressman Johnny Olszewski (D-MD) is introducing a constitutional amendment to establish term limits for Supreme Court Justices. The ROBE Act would establish 18-year term limits for justices.

This would be so cool! I’d love to be a banned author!

BREAKING: The so called 'SAVE' Act has FAILED in the Senate and will not become law. I wrote this piece on how in reality, this is the Voter Restriction Act to prevent women from voting. It is fascism and would have installed Trump as a permanent dictator. www.qasimrashid.com/p/the-save-a...

Schools place a considerable amount of importance on sports (because money). They do it to the detriment of other spaces which is abhorrent. I have ~8 years to try to make change in one school.

Not only did I get into the lit masters at Northwestern University, but I earned an A in both classes this quarter! 1 quarter down, 3 to go?! Onto next quarter and the work is already posted so I already started! 4.0 at Northwestern or bust 🎉🤯

We didn’t hear about him cause he’s not white. Add his name to your justice for Renee Good posters. And all the other black and brown people ICE has been murdering.

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter. I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

Dear dentists. You are all up in patients faces. Please wear n95 masks. Hygienists, you too. We’re vulnerable. Respiratory illnesses are spreading like wild-fire, but we still have to protect our oral health. Don’t be snarky when a potential patient says their fam is vulnerable. Girl, bye.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court denied an attempt to challenge Obergefell v. Hodges, the case affirming marriage equality nationwide. Our freedom to marry remains the law of the land.

Regardless of the disgraceful nonsense we will likely hear from this administration in the coming days on vaccine “recommendations,” Americas healthcare insurers issued a joint statement tonight saying coverage for Covid and flu shots will remain unchanged from prior years. Speaks for itself.

Plague Poems@plaguepoems.bsky.social

I’ve been told that someday I’ll look back and laugh at how long I took precautions for, but that sounds fine really, that sounds just fine, I will be happy if someday I can look back and laugh for that will mean I managed to survive long enough to reach that someday.
