I was telling one of my kids that it was physically impossible for an ad to play between songs on any of the records I own, and they asked "and you only have to pay for it once?" and you could see how strange that seemed. You cannot overstate how many basic rules of media consumption have changed.

"Secret police" is often misunderstood to mean a force that operates covertly, with all their operations secret. But a secret police force's actions are often public. The secret part is hiding their identities, because they're breaking laws to hurt politically disfavored people, and fear reprisals.

Whether it’s Democrats putting their pronouns in email signatures or Republicans shooting and killing unarmed drivers, both sides have taken actions that the other side finds threatening.

Doesn't it strike you as strange that the people who shout long and loud that America is a Christian nation founded on Christian principles are the very people who don't want Christ's teachings of tolerance, pacifism, and generosity codified in law?

I keep seeing cars pull up, thinking they're gonna be more customers for my boxing day sale, but no, never see them after I hear the car doors open and shut... ... So the brothel next door must be having a ripper day!

It never ceases to amaze me how "proud" they are of what they are doing. Bragging about it all over the TV. Right up until someone wants to actually see what they are up to. Then you get a door slammed in your face, redactions that cover entire pages, and you get called a "Domestic Terrorist".

Not a serious electorate. 1/3 voted to install a sociopathic racist rapist as a king and another 1/3 (non-voters) said “meh, I don’t care one way or the other if we are ruled by a king”. A democracy cannot stand if only 1/3 want it.
