Really missing my dad today, it would have been his 85th birthday. I cared for him in his last few months, and we lost him in March. He was cheeky, funny and grumpy as hell and I miss all of that. Trying hard not to feel sad today.

I must love my dad. I’ve been vegan for 12 years, vegetarian for 40 and in the past two days I’ve made him an omelette and a ham sandwich. I won’t deny; it was bloody horrible, but he’s my dad in palliative care. I can’t deny him what he wants.

Can you remember those old public information films warning children about the danger of playing in old abandoned fridges? Back in the 1830s the aim of public information #poetry was to discourage grown women from hiding in oaken chests with spring lock mechanisms.

One of the great things about my podcast (for me) is that I get to tell my comedy heroes how much they mean to me. This man was of course rated highly for his amazing work and yet still somehow underrated. So many great films including (for me) the greatest film of all time. RIP Rob and Michele.
