Here’s yer explanation as to how what you see is real and why you’ll never see it in production bsky.app/profile/toob...
I don't get what I'm looking at. I'm not a physicist and plenty of real things look impossible to me, but I'd expect the car to start falling at least as soon as it's upside down. It looks like it's moving way too slow to have generated enough... centrifugal force, I guess? To keep it on the lane.
"Flying cars are real!" 🚀 Elon Musk and Tesla showcase the new Roadster.

The motherfucking Pentagon is going to livestream an execution by firing squad. Livestream. I have zero trouble believing this is Hegseth's version of clout chasing. Fuck, maybe they can get Mr. Beast to tack on a contest. I'm coming around to @gregdoucette.bsky.social 's view of guillotines.
Do you like stories? Do you like podcasts? Do you like podcasts that tell stories? Do you like good narration? Well, maybe overlook that last part and give The Points Between a try. The Points Between: Episode One ("Arrival") eviscerati.libsyn.com/the-points-b...
Total running time for this arc is about 6 hours, 45 minutes. The Points Between: Episode Seven ("Silence and Song") eviscerati.libsyn.com/the-points-b...

It's a modern-day fantasy but I don't feel comfortable calling it "urban fantasy" because those tend to be more cosmopolitan. Sometimes I call it "Twin Peaks, but in Virginia" but it's not that quirky. The Points Between: Episode Five ("The Fourth Way") eviscerati.libsyn.com/the-points-b...
The accents are... let's call them "ambitious." In my defense the dialog in Daylight sounded really not great without them. The Points Between: Episode Six ("The Picture and The Dream") eviscerati.libsyn.com/the-picture-...

Releasing it as a podcast is part of my ongoing attempt to figure out how to capture clean audio. It's a lot better quality than my first attempts, but plosives are still my enemy. The Points Between: Episode Three ("The Chapel of Light") eviscerati.libsyn.com/the-points-b...

The Points Between is a story I've been writing for so long I've had to keep updating it to keep up with cellphone technology, until I finally decided to stick the story at a fixed point in time (the 2010s). The Points Between: Episode Two ("Dust to Daylight") eviscerati.libsyn.com/the-points-b...

Important late-night VFX question: At 9.55 in this episode, the TARDIS appears while the camera is zooming out. I think they must be zooming out on playback of the dissolve effect, which is why it's a bit soft. Does anyone know how they did it? www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00vhqq3
It wasn't until Trump said the FBI investigating Lindsey Graham's death was a waste of time that I even knew the FBI was investigating Lindsey Graham's death. www.politico.com/news/2026/07...

Every criticism of this Chris Wright is proper and deserved. The fact that my name is also Chris Wright is both inconvenient and grimly amusing... - Chris Wright (not the fossil fuel shill one)
Every time fossil fuel shill Chris Wright lies to the public about renewable energy, I will repost this op-ed: www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202606/08/...

The End www.maritzacampos.com/crfh And that's a wrap, kiddos! After roughly 27 years and a half, CRFH reaches its conclusion. Thank you so much for reading and for your continued support through the decades. Stick around for KHAO5 or I'll cry! :( ♥, Mari #crfhcomic #webcomics #endofanera
I have an AI policy on my site: www.eviscerati.org/ai-policy/ TL;DR version: It doesn't matter how interesting the technology could be, LLMs are trained through theft and I don't use them.
It no longer goes without saying, so I'm saying it. I have never used AI to make words or pictures. I don't have ChatGPT, Claude, or anything like them installed, and I turn off every AI-branded feature i find in the tools I use.

Latest update: Bricks and Minifigs is now going after Reckless Ben's Patreon in an attempt to get his funding pulled so he stops with the investigation against them, and in a rare but massive W for Patreon, they are siding with the creator and not the huge corporation www.youtube.com/watch?v=36jx...
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wscQ... An elderly man consigned his Lego collection worth $200k to his local Bricks & Minifigs store in order to help pay for his medical debt and help his family and then the Bricks & Minifigs corporation stole all of it and refused to acknowledge that they did that.

“Content” also insidiously shifts significance and validity to the platform, not the substance — content is contained, what defines content is the existence and form of the container
My crankiest old man take is that referring to all art/entertainment/journalism/criticism/comedy/advertising as “content” helped pave the way for broad-ish acceptance of AI slop.
