The typical American now pays about $1,700 more a year in taxes and increased costs because of Trumpβs economic policies and elevated gas prices from the Iran war, while the top 1% of earners are now pay $12,560 less. #GoldenAge?
Meta took their time fixing this action that was allegedly just due to "automated systems." I look forward to a more ample explanation than that just now from his flack by Zuckerberg to the next Congress, with internal Meta communications provided to back up their professed ignorance and innocence.
The first subpoena from the new Democratic Congress should be to Mark Zuckerberg, for taking down the No Kings Instagram account in the middle of one of the largest days of civic activism in American history.
No Kings. No Courtiers.
Don't know if Trump or associates asked Zuckerberg to disrupt No Kings; or if Zuckerberg saw it as a chance to curry favor with Trump; or if Zuckerberg so believes in Trumpist authoritarianism that he decided to help out.
But it's urgent to stop this from happening again--e.g., on election day.
Update: without explanation, and after being suspended for more than an hour during peak mobilization time, Zuckerberg's Instagram restored the No Kings account but we still lack admin access. More to come.
Rest assured we will not stop organizing against this regime and its collaborators.
βββMark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this.
Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.
Ruffalo: Keep the bastards away from our most vulnerable people, our beloved, beloved immigrants. Because if you ainβt Native American, youβre an immigrant, a beautiful immigrant.
Jack Smith: "History teaches that the rule of law is rarely destroyed all at once. It's often weakened by attacks on the institutions and the public servants sworn to uphold it. Since January 2025, we have witnessed precisely such an effort."

It matters to have leaders who care about the right things - as I was reminded during my last flight out of Pittsburgh International Airport. Here's why.
The Bulwark uncovered a fundraiser for Hakeem Jeffries hosted by Trump-connected lobbyists. We started asking questions, and the event was canceled.
@cheetah.bsky.social explains what happened and what it reveals about how Washington works behind closed doors. lnk.thebulwark.com/4hqx0y9?utm_...
I found watching Trumpβs UN speech today deeply depressing. It is a matter of national shame and humiliation that he is our president. Every country in the world, friend and foe alike, sees we are governed by a vainglorious fool.
I resigned from ExxonMobil today. I spent the last three years doing fossil fuel extraction research at both BP and ExxonMobil. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing to maximize extraction while the window to act closes, and gambling with our lives. More below.
A president conditioning a $5,000 payment on his own party winning Congress is buying an election result out loud, on camera, and calling it a dividend to make it sound legitimate.
Nobody gets to purchase your vote with your own tax dollars.

hey welcome to America you can get arrested for giving water to people waiting in line to vote but the president is offering you $5k to vote for his party
Let me get this right? Thereβs been a massive number of lynchings in the US over the past year and we are not hearing about this from the NYT, WaPo, LA Times, or any other major outlet?
Can we get @propublica.org to cover this?
The countdown is on.
80 days to flip the House and Senate, make America affordable, protect healthcare, and send a message.
No more excuses. No more sitting this out.
Organize. Vote. Win.

As of this morning, the WNBA has been mentioned on Fox News 163 times since last Monday.
During that same timeframe, they have only mentioned Max Miller's name 5 times.
