Any similarity to the real world is coincidental, consider the real world is far crazier than anything I say. Your mileage may vary.

A Ukrainian MAGURA unmanned surface vessel has been fitted with a launcher for remotely controlled STING interceptor drones. The launcher consists of 3х6 blocks of interceptors, allowing a single USV to carry 18 anti-Shahed drones.

Seen UForce's new MV11? It carries our STING interceptors — launched straight from a sea drone. Just like with Hornet Vision CTRL – launch location can be anywhere: field, forest, water, any moving platform. And this time it's a box on a boat🐝

I'm furious now. Fuming. God knows how many family farms Disney destroyed by modeling this foolishness. Thankfully this movie still does a good job of showing kids how to wipe out a shitload of Huns with minimal expenditure of ammo.

Meanwhile, in the US...

The best way to insulate yourself from volatile material cost inputs is to rejigger your operations so you don't have to use as much of that material. China (and indeed, much of the world outside of the US) is shifting away from oil after Trump's Hormuz fiasco. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

I’ll go to war for Little Rock having a better pizza scene than any other city in America

The original proposed name for the massive and unprecedented effort was Laboratory for the Development of Substitute Materials. However, director Gen. Leslie R. Groves objected, saying it would draw unwanted attention to the extremely secretive project to design, test, and mass produce atomic bombs.

Hacks come in all flavors. One of my favorite local hacks of the summer is that somehow our local fine arts museum has transformed itself into the most happening "night club" in town on Wednesday evenings. They bring in DJs from 17:00 to 20:00; no cover charge. Ever been to a local art museum event

that hits max occupancy? Well, it's happening in Little Rock, AR. At the hilariously rebranded AMFA, the Arkansas MoFo'ing Arts museum or something like that. Only two more nights left on the schedule. It's a refreshing change from staring at screens. Their tagline "it's more than a museum". Indeed.

Yes, you're sacrificing your privacy on the altar of security, but also, the cameras don't actually make you more safe

A core tenet of Wilson’s beliefs is that a patriarchal society, what he calls “biblical masculinity,” is both a religious mandate and “cultural gluten,” as he wrote in his 2023 book, Mere Christendom. Cult leader. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

chat can anyone verify that every single Flock camera has about 2-3 Ibs of copper and about 1-2 grams of gold

Wow. So at least for me the e-mail links are broken. And it doesn't seem KUAR AR NPR affiliate has a presence here. But, I'm just so tired of journalists being corporate mouthpieces. Amir Mahmoud said in a 27 July piece on Flock: "These are cameras that read and log the...

license plates of vehicles driving on certain roadways." No. Come on, these are CAMERAS that TAKE PICTURES. It's software that analyzes the images and extracts LPNs. There is no magic "it only reads license plate numbers" image sensor. Why is it so hard for journalists to understand "camera"?
