There has been a concerning rise in fires caused by e-bike and e-scooter batteries across London.
The London Fire Brigade is urging Londoners to take extra care when charging and storing batteries. Always use approved chargers, buy from reputable retailers and keep escape routes clear.
"This hatred, it’s like a cancer. It spreads because people will always say, ‘Oh, it’s just the illegals.’ It’s not.
“From what I experienced, it was anyone who was remotely different, different creed, different colour, different sexuality.”

I'll be holding the fort at @lbc.co.uk from 10pm until 1am tonight, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I hope you'll join me or have a listen on catch-up afterwards. No shortage of interesting issues to natter about.
"Undecover Inside Reform UK", a 1 hour 40 minute ITV News documentary is available on YouTube having been broadcast tonight. It opens on Farage's July 2024 Clacton pledge of much more rigorous vetting to keep extremists and bigots out of the party.

Something wicked this way comes.
For the third year running, Kew Gardens is inviting visitors into the dark this Halloween.
Expect fire performers, neon cobwebs and surprises lurking around every corner.
Until 1 November, if you dare.
On 25 October, Trafalgar Square will shine with music, dance, food and culture as London celebrates Diwali.
I’m proud to mark the huge contribution our Hindu, Sikh and Jain communities make to our city, and a festival whose message is simple: light over darkness, compassion over division.
The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2026 is Navi Pillay, a brave extraordinary woman who has served at the International Criminal Court prosecuting genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Immediately after being notified she had won, she mocked the orange felon on video. Love her. 💙👊
Hey folks. In total honesty my tour is NOT selling well. I’ve sold 30 tickets in a 400 seater in Birmingham, and not much more elsewhere. If you like musical comedy, if you like standup, then please come see my show! And spread the word! The Rachel Parris Songbook tour starts in Nov! Link in bio! 🎶
The person responsible for carrying out the totally independent investigation into Reform and clearing the party of all wrongdoing has been identified.
This, on the reality of prison and early release, is among the best shows I’ve ever had the privilege of presenting.

The Wild West approach to dockless e-bikes cannot continue.
I'm setting out my plan to improve safety and data sharing, tackle poor parking and create consistent standards across London.
TfL licensing is the key to making these schemes safer and better managed.
Amid outcry, NY prosecutors have reopened the criminal investigation into the 7 Cornell gang rapists, a case that was covered up 2 years ago.
These assholes would’ve been punished if they had written “free Palestine” instead of “free p*ssy.” Cornell leadership should be investigated too.
"Someone from Reform & their shrill harridan who live as tax free exiles in Dubai have been entertained by the wife of a former minister of state of a country hostile to the UK and he failed to declare it to Parliament he's elected to sit in?
You couldn’t make this up"

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children in more London boroughs will receive a free book every month from birth to age five.
This initiative is keeping Dolly’s amazing legacy alive and helping more young Londoners arrive at school ready to learn.
NEW | I’m not surprised, but I am livid.
BBC NEWS, ‘DANNY TOMMO’ AND THE DINGHY ATTACK THAT DISAPPEARED
While the rest of the media – even the very worst parts – report on Daniel Thomas’ actions, BBC News fails to give its audience the facts.

More than a third of the Tube network is now step-free.
The new entrance at King’s Cross St Pancras is another milestone in making London more accessible and ensuring more people can enjoy all our city has to offer.
Worrying scenes in the Channel today, for all interested in asylum policy and maritime tactics.

The inherent hypocrisy of racists & Islamophobes ...
"When faith is practiced by some, it is called devotion. Yet when a Muslim practices that same faith, it is questioned or labelled ..."
via Matt Rogers
"A study by King’s College London has found something pretty striking. Reform voters think 50% of Londoners are Muslim.
The actual figure is 15%
...
So you have to ask: where do these perceptions come from?"

Those ‘concerned citizens’ ‘protesting’ (as the BBC puts it) in Dover and Portsmouth. Well they’ve begun posting on-line photos of members of the RNLI lifeboat crews bringing the migrants to shore.
Targeting working heroes who are risking their lives to save others.
Scum.
Yesterday I said my speech was late because the police warned of a threat. Now West Midlands Police confirm they gave no such advice. I don't know about you, but I don't pay my taxes to have the police point out every time I make up a bullshit story about them!
Head to Trafalgar Square today from 12–6pm for Black On The Square, a free celebration of Black Londoners and the enormous contribution Black communities have made to our city's culture, character and success.
Expect food, music and workshops for all ages.

Uber just announced it will lay off 10% of its workforce, or around 3,300 workers.
Last year, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi made $35M — 360 times his median employee's pay — and announced a $20B stock buyback program to further enrich shareholders and himself.
Textbook corporate greed.
Sadly, perhaps you do have to hand it to the anti-ULEZ protestors who gifted Sadiq Khan an untaxed car and instead created a story highlighting the flaws in the single justice procedure. (Credit to PA’s Tristan Kirk who is pretty much the only person looking.) www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/m...

The best part? The SL12 express bus is completely free for the first week.

As if I couldn’t hate the orange felon more than I already do, over 60 trees which include historic Cherry Blossom trees were quietly cut down recently in Washington DC without court approval.
I’ll never forgive anyone who supports this monstrous hateful destructive criminal.
If true, there would be a good basis to find those NDAs unenforceable. Holding someone captive unless they sign your contract does not cut it. (Yes, I am a lawyer.)😊
