The entire concept of democracy is based on the idea that voters have agency. That they have at least a basic level of adult judgement, intelligence, etc. If they allow trump to be president by either voting FOR him or not bothering to vote against them? That is their responsibility in a democracy.

Anyone who is trying to avoid placing blame on the voters who allowed this OBVIOUSLY unfit person to be president doesn't really believe in democracy. The whole point of democracy is that it is the VOTERS who determine who is in power. Voters f**ked up, so Trump is president again. Fact.

+ this is not about blame for the sake of blame. This is describing CAUSATION such that better outcomes can be achieved in the future. It is a POSITIVE statement. Voters do in fact have power.
