Please, Cybersecurity Awareness Month Committee, you win. Make it stop. We’ve never been more aware.

People in tech leadership especially, you really need to start measuring the output and determining whether the massive increase in volume is returning anything of actual value. Mix that with your increasingly burnt out workers and there's a real opportunity to get ahead on multiple fronts.

I think this is the most important take of the whole talk: some people were upset that we were dedicating resources to help the LLMs...but that was never the goal: the goal was always helping the users that wanted to use AI with Svelte and wanted to do it in the best possible way. 🧡

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

Some updates for my svelte-skills: - @vitest.dev v5 (+vitest-browser-svelte) - mswjs.io v3 (+overhauled guidance for SvelteKit v3 and for @storybook.js.org v10*) * skill update for v11 will follow after the official release - many other skills like validate-file went through a review

Drafted a collection of my current Svelte / SvelteKit essentials (skills, Oxlint, Knip, svelte-inspect-value, svelte-render-scan, dex etc) and links to my onboarding guide and the release / milestone chart. Mostly for myself / for work, but maybe helpful to to others. And I'm sure I forgot some.

Seaquel has matured into my #1 pick 🙏 So I finally took the time to figure out how to access internal DBs with the least effort. aka: How to to connect to self-hosted @supabase.com Postgres without opening the DB or SSH tunnel jiujitsu? My take: @iroh.computer dumbpipe: github.com/fubits1/dumb...

That's what was missing a year ago when I started to build seaquel.app. I really wanted to use GPUI over Tauri, but it didn't feel like the right choice given Zed's announcement around that time. Things are different today.

So it appears Copernicus is not just caving to pressure from the Yanks, but the Israelis as well. A deeply cowardly move that will only engender further censorship.

Logan Williams@obtusatum.bsky.social

It seems that the European Union's restriction on up-to-date Copernicus Sentinel-2 imagery has expanded to include Gaza and the Red Sea. This may have happened a while ago — the EC's corrigendum on 2026/1716 removes transparency from Copernicus censorship. Does anyone have more info/observations?

I need help from @svelte.dev @storybook.js.org users. We're considering adding support for stories extending other stories, with partial overrides where necessary. Would this be a big deal to you or not at all? How would a syntax like this work for you? Would you like something else instead?
