Update: CNN reports that the State Dept is now *confirming* cancellation of the contract tracking abducted Ukrainian kids, claiming it's not in US interests. Also, a State spox claims data is with a subcontractor. If true, pressure will now intensify to reinstate the program.

Horrifying: After the contract tracking Ukrainian children abducted by Russia was terminated, the underlying evidence of these potential war crimes seems to be missing, a bipartisan group of Reps just charged in letter to Rubio. Two GOPers signed. Details here: newrepublic.com/article/1929...

You can remove Navajo Code Talkers, The Tuskegee Airmen, the Holocaust and Jackie Robinson from federal databases, but we know the truth! You can call it DEI. We know it's racism. IT'S. FUCKING. RACISM.

This is exactly what I have been saying for a while now. At this point, it’s not left vs right that matters, but fighters vs non-fighters. The Dems, and the American people, need fighters.

My favorite things about spanish (as a non-native speaker) are the objects that are literally translated as their functions. The umbrella? You want a paraguas (for water). Need a sink? Find the lavamanos (wash hands). It makes me so giddily happy when I have to use these. 😊

This is bad. Really bad. These actions eliminate rules on clean air and clean water. The only good news would be if they follow the process, then none of the changes take effect immediately, and nearly all will require a long rulemaking process.

A doctor has been serving one of Baltimore’s poorest neighborhoods for decades — and if his patients can’t pay, that’s OK with him. So when he was diagnosed with cancer, his community rallied to raise $100,000 for his treatments.

NEW: The murders of two people outside an LGBTQ+ bar at first looked like the act of a lone shooter. A ProPublica and @frontlinepbs.bsky.social investigation shows they were, in fact, the culmination of a coordinated, international recruiting effort by online extremists.

My staff and I are closely tracking the potential measles exposure in San Antonio that originated with a visitor from West Texas. If you visited any of the locations listed below, please watch out for symptoms (including fever or unexplained rash) and contact a doctor right away if they occur.

I just imagine waking up one day to see some guy I went to hs with and hated on the "new DOGE employees" list and being like "aw, man, that guy was the WORST!" And then remember that someone else is prob already saying that. Personally knowing them is so much worse than just knowing they like Elon.

I can go through pretty much the entire south and tell you that they're broke and rely on a lot of welfare from the government. I can’t remember where I read this, but it’s important: Why is it that when people think about traveling to the past, they worry about doing something small that will drastically change the present, but no one in the present thinks that doing something small today can drastically change the future?

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

Sayings we'll have to explain to our grandkids in the future, all because of this shitty timeline: "Oh, you got that EGG money?!" That's it. That's all I've been saying for weeks now. I'm sorry.

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.
