In the 2022 municipal election, voter turnout in Mississauga was 21.84%. Yesterday, it was 33.9%. An improvement, but still low. Two-thirds of Mississaugans still sat this one out. That’s a message politicians need to hear.

A high-turnout election! Bradford got more votes losing than all but 2 winners in Toronto's post-1997 history, and both those cases were incumbents running against relatively weaker challengers. Olivia Chow, of course, won *even more* making her the most vote-getting politician in Canadian history.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

Just saw on Instagram that Eric Bauza, the Canadian voice of countless Looney Tunes characters, has suddenly passed away. This one really hurts. He was so lovely and talented, and knowing he came from Toronto — and even meeting him at local events — meant a lot. RIP.
