I used to mainly lurk here but this is a David Stearns shitposting account until he’s fired. I'm mostly on Threads follow @itwasathingontv or @gdiener525
Gyroscope (1985)
Gyroscope was obviously inspired by the arcade game Marble Madness, which hadn't made it to the Commodore 64 yet, but it is somewhat simpler. Your goal is to roll your ball from the top of the course to the bottom, with ramps and slopes along the way.

So Freddy Peralta pitches the Rays into the World Series after bombing with the METS. Oh. They said he couldn’t handle the pressure in NYC. Oh. Seems to handle Pennant race pressure. Hey, David Stearns what is the real story?
I do feel like "attacking the hated billionaire owners of the local sports team" could be a pretty good way of connecting to voters across the country, especially since 95% of them are Republican donors
Mike Rogers’ wife is handing out $10 gas cards in Michigan while asking people to vote for her husband.
Republicans made gas unaffordable. Now they’re offering $10 to keep them in power.
#BlueWaveIn20Days
David Stearns trading for Freddy Peralta while holding a monkey’s paw: “He is going to absolutely shove in the postseason. Right?”. A single finger goes down on the paw.
Stearns didn’t win shit at the end of the day the Mets are still a team with bright young players but the foundation is still built on rickety sticks caused by him.
I’m sorry I can’t go nuts over a team that started playing well once they were long out of a playoff spot after the deadline and have faced zero expectations when it’s time to win a meaningful game yet.
And with the lockout coming up do you really expect them to carry this in 18 months along with what we expect terrible moves Stearns will make once the lockout ends?

BTW did any of the asswipes on the Mets beat ask Stearns where the hell he was during the Baltimore series or are they gonna believe Cohen’s BS he was “in the dugout” with him?
Steve Cohen, sit the f**k down. If you loved him that much, you could’ve told Stearns to put his ego aside and give him the contract, but you didn’t. That’s your fault, numbnuts. Enjoy crying about prepaid parking and fans not taking free tickets in cold weather.

Stearns massively fucked up. He will 4ever feel a fake Mets fan bc he didn't see how this would play out with the base
Alonso's 31-35 years should have been spent breaking club records, cementing a legacy around oodles of talent, with a contract paying for itself. Alonso merch til the end of days
Do people not realize this degenerate fanbase went to Yankee Stadium to support Alonso
The man had more ABs as a Met than Piazza, and owns the club homerun record.
It would be absurd for this city to not feel like home.
After Mets fans booed their own team or him, Pete Alonso had this to say after tonight's game:
"I feel like New York will always be a place where it feels like homecoming – it doesn’t matter whether it’s here or at Yankee Stadium. The whole city of New York is meaningful to us.”
EXTREMELY funny.
If you're a Met, you can't get mad. This is loyalty to a good teammate who was going for his 300th HR. He didn't deserve the poor front office treatment, and how else are fans going to demonstrate this? A subtle op-ed in the Times? GTFOH.
I understand, but the organization reaps what it sows. When they send a clear message to the fans that they don't matter, then it shouldn't matter who they root for.
The players should take heart that it has far less to do with them than it does their bosses.
"I love him to death, but as the 2026 Mets - I know we've definitely underperformed - the guys in here work their ass off every single day. To have that reaction to an opposing player is crazy to me."
That's nice guy Sean Manaea speak for "We're pissed" over the reception for Pete Alonso.
It’s not loser shit. It’s not bailing on your team, Sean Manaea. It’s showing love for the guy who only left because one guy wanted him gone.
Cheer for your guys. Pete was our guy. I will always cheer for him.
Robert Kraft sucks, Macklemore can still lick my balls even though he is saying something that needs to be said, and we're about 5 years from the tiki torch people being fine people from both sides.
