yesterday my mom told me she nearly got scammed by some creeps spoofing her bank and had to start whole new accounts. moments after that I was trying to buy tickets to a show on AXS and on every single screen had to prove to a robot that I was human

I think the country is full of people like this, decent people who behave decently and teach others to do the same; and that these people look at participants in the regime, who flaunt their indecency, the way Kurt Russell looked at the Thing.

You have to really, really, really fucking suck for your 8th grade teacher to come out and shame you like this. Damn.

Posts like this really grind my gears because it really takes a couple seconds to find out that PR has a vibrant immigrant community, which is who they're detaining in these videos. You're really just showing your ignorant ass with this type of stuff.

Every clip I see about Bauza is so heartbreaking, he seems like such an amazing dude. Also, we gotta bring back using voice actors for animated shows and not just celebrities looking for an easy buck.

Brazil’s results tonight are a big endorsement for the idea that every country should have a second “are you you sure about that” election a couple weeks after the first one for the important stuff

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.

Lula winning is great for the planet, great for Brazil, and great for people who aren't revanchist assholes everywhere in the world, but let's not forget that it's also going to make some of the worst people on Earth extremely sad and mad. We should enjoy that, as a little treat.

I’ve long felt that adults being aggressively and exclusively into media intended for children is a bad, bad sign on the larger societal/cultural scale

something i don’t see discussed much is that even if it wasn’t stained with bigotry, harry potter is something you probably should’ve just like… grown out of at some point, rather than integrating it into your adult identity

like, you can look back on stuff you liked as a kid with warmth and nostalgia but you should also maybe start reading and watching things that involve adults? it doesn’t have to be dark or complicated but this feels like an important thing for a healthy adult to do
