Sometimes you try to make an homage to people you like and respect, but end up putting an eldritch curse on them instead. Be safe out there this Spooky Season, folks. 🙏🎃

You can access so much good art, music, literature etc made by actual humans from all over the World with relative ease. Plus look how fast we mapped the human genome - when I was a kid they thought it would take lifetimes.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

A good narrator can really make an audiobook. If I'm on the fence about a book, seeing the narrator is someone I've enjoyed narrating another book is enough to make me go for it. I'll stop reading audiobooks before I ever read an "ai" narrated audiobook

Long before pumpkins became the Halloween tradition, people in Ireland carved turnips into spooky faces to ward off wandering spirits. This wonderful Ghost Turnip is on display at the National Museum of Ireland, Turlough Park, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, and it's guaranteed to stop you in your tracks!

What a charming #Egyptian bronze figure of a shrew! Since shrews are animals that find their way in the dark they were connected to the descending phase of the sun’s nocturnal journey. Late Period (746-332 B.C). On display at Museum Hohentübingen. 📷️ me

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads
