A big reason why this country is in the state that it is in is that edgy "leftists" would rather teach Democrats a lesson by staying home on Election Day than teach Republicans a lesson by voting for Democrats. And foreign propaganda bots are ubiquitous on social media, encouraging this behavior.

October 7th was the equivalent to terrorists breaking thru the US border, murdering 44,000 and taking 3,000 hostages. Many of them held as hostages for over two years, while others were murdered and raped in captivity. The terrorists promise to do this over & over again. What would the US do?

I saw someone sneeringly say "do you seriously think the Biden Admin did everything they could to pressure Israel?" and in my minds eye I see all the millions and millions, tens of millions of bodies of people who starved or died of treatable illnesses since Trump and Musk killed USAID

a lot of ppl discussing the new Biden-Israel article who are engaging sincerely with the belief that the US pro-Palestine movement wanted Biden to do anything even directionally aligned with what we now know he did who are about to learn what I've known for years about that movement's actual goals

Some people get into political activism not because they want to change their material circumstances for the better, but because they enjoy righteously condemning everyone who is not as morally pure and radical as they are. You cannot work with these people because they will never be satisfied.

People like this are just desperately looking for any excuse to support fascists. Because they are fascists.

I got blocked and yelled at by two people today because I said I would never vote for dems who are anti trans. "BUT THE REPUBLICANS ARE WORSE" "perfection is the enemy of good!" Okay but why is transphobia excusable to these people.

Trash like this is why I am spending less time on this trash site.

Democratic strategists: Ahhh! What's the right message!!?? Where do we moderate!?!? Jon Ossoff: This administration is horrible. I hate these people. We should put them in jail. I'm pissed Voters: This guy is cool Strategists: I can't figure it out!!!!!

Actual Hamas supporter - from the comfort of the US, of course. Hypocrite.

lilka@opticteadrop.dreamstate.love

hamas does priorities the needs of the palestinians - which is getting back their land that was stolen by genocidal zionist colonisers and also freeing them from gaza, their concentration camp where they were expelled to by - guess who - jews in israel

It’s important to remember that Hasan Piker isn’t in the business of getting people elected, or in the business of politics in general, he’s in the Hasan Piker business and that stock goes up whenever he does something that makes people talk about Hasan Piker

> Gaza invades Israel and rapes hundreds of Israeli citizens Leftists: Fuck the Jews!!! Hamas supporters, like the below gullible fucktard, are not leftists. They support a right-wing terrorist organization.

I'm far from an expert, but the story of the current state of Streamer Politics (at least left-of-center) is kind of interesting and, unfortunately, probably a window into the future of left/Dem politics. It's impossible to talk about without talking about the war at its heart: Destiny vs. Hasan.

Vibecession Forever@ghazelleberner.bsky.social

There are some politics streamers who do good work, but man, the drama stuff in those spaces is absolutely out of control. It's a bunch of people arguing about Discord servers and chatters and it obscures what can be good political content. Not a surprise it's more localized to Twitter than here.

Maybe I’m naive or dumb, but I’m actually only just now realizing the reason why leftists insist on calling everyone else a centrist, when we’re not, is that they know we aren’t and are doing so to make us upset. For the longest, I thought they just misunderstood. But as always, no, just cruelty.

Wreckers and infighters are over-represented on this website. Elsewhere, the vast majority are meeting the moment by doing Popular Front. A good example is Stevens endorsing El Sayed in MI and Hong endorsing Crowley in WI.
