There's no pretense left. J. K. Rowling made her hate for trans women clear in a slur-filled screed slurring them a dozen times and describing them as deceitful and dangerous. So writes @evanurquhart.bsky.social this morning on Assigned Media. *WARNING: Article quotes Rowling's hateful language.*

helenwebberley.comAre transgender sports bans really about protecting women? | Dr Helen WebberleyThe data says no. Those most hostile to women are most in favour of banning trans athletes.

I have this incredibly annoying thing where if I am dreaming I am in the middle of doing something I just can’t make myself get up. I keep hitting snooze thinking I have to finish this first even if it’s something that makes no sense.

Got the night photos for this year. Now I have to go over them and pick the best to post. By the light of a full moon no less. Arooooo!

the number of β€œyes on 42, no on 40” ads I’m seeing here in LA is depressing remember: yes on the billionaire tax (40), no on the ones canceling the billionaire tax (41 and 42)

Honestly several things are depressing about ai but the two that stand out are the eagerness of people to outsource thought because cognitive effort is uncomfortable, and the casualness with which people use the shiny, easy thing knowing it's bad for climate change
