Retired Welsh dresser; knobs need a little polishing but otherwise in working order. Great against a kitchen wall. Grecophile, Europhile, wokey, pinko leftie (according to my husband), and recently a Stanley Tucci lookalike. Also I never Wrestle with pigs.

Seriously… how can a party that insists on scrapping all progress with the EU, binning NetZero and leaving the ECHR, so that it can abuse its power without accountability… how can that party claim “the soul of the nation”. The ruin - maybe. The soul - definitely not.

Dolly's gone. What kind of world are we left with? Kindness, respect and empathy have taken parts of themselves with her. A wonderful woman; talent, generosity and humour in a beautiful rhinestone package. The world's a worse place without her, we'll all miss you forever. RIP.

"If he'd say 'Up the Ra' for £86, what do you reckon he'll do for £5m?" The Cameo neo-Nazi endorsement for £141. The convicted rioter sympathy for £155. The £5m from a crypto billionaire. Marina Purkiss connects the dots.

If chronicle means amplifying every division, belittling Starmer at every opportunity, downplaying every achievement and delighting in parroting the Tory line in dreadful prose, then Mason has chronicled the last two years. Sadly it doesn't, and Mason has been a participant not a neutral observer.

JD Vance isn't self-aware enough to know that Watergate only looks like a smaller story now because JD's boss is *exponentially* more corrupt than Nixon could ever be.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

JD Vance: "I think Nixon's historical legacy is enjoying a bit of a renaissance, and deservedly so. I joked that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12 hours news story. The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy."

@pollybillington.bsky.social Banning SM for under 16's, may or may not work (I'm sure they'll find ways around it), but the government announcing this on X (one of the major perpetrators of this content) is so bad. It's time to stop using that platform, Musk won't change.

Why does the world still allow trophy hunting? We've done so much harm already. RT if you think there should be a worldwide ban on this barbaric practice. Nature is amazing. Protect it. #ActOnClimate #climate #TrophyHunting #nature #rewilding #GreenNewDeal #biodiversity

I feel sick reading Labour’s asylum policy. They’re setting fire to their base and the scum they’re pandering to despise them regardless. It’s simple. Process and let asylum seekers work and pay tax. It’s indefensible despicable shit. I’m fucking disgusted by them.

This is a new low from a govt plumbing the depths of performative cruelty in hopes that the public won’t notice they have no answers to the real issues facing this country A sensible, humane govt would focus on safe routes to prevent people making dangerous small boat crossings

Just watched the new Frankenstein. So bloody good. Costumes, filming, story, lighting and atmosphere brilliant. Emotional, horrific and beautiful all that the same time. The truest version of a Frakenstein movie so far. Thanks to #guillmernodetonoro .

Goodbye 'Siralee Valentine'. Jump off your roof, feel the sun on your back and be in water that's as deep as forever ❤️. Love you - No Honestly! RIP #paulinecollins It might be chips and egg for tea 😍.

Crockett: The First Lady, a model— when I say model I’m not talking about Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, or Naomi Campbell level— applied for an Einstein visa. You’re supposed to have some sort of significant achievement… She had none of those. It doesn’t take an Einstein to see the math ain’t mathin

A blistering takedown of Brexit has gone viral, as a member of public torched Tice, and the Brexit, calling it “a con.” He accused Brexit leaders of selling the public “a lie” and described the policy as “sanctions on ourselves.” #ukpolitics

Every bit of this is gold. Imagine being so impenetrably thick, so unremmittingly entitled, so irredeemably soured, that you dress like a giant lemon meringue and go on record, in print, forever, to complain that migrating to avoid tax has triggered your debilitating terror of orecchiette broccoli.

An immensely rich woman who moved three years ago to the UK to exploit a favourable tax system is leaving after being made to pay tax. She complains that she is having to move to Italy despite not liking the food. Cue the world’s tiniest violin… www.thetimes.com/article/4305...

“We’re at a crossroads in history” Starmer truly has stepped up this week, even his harshest critics can surely admit that. He’s come into his own as a diplomat and it’ll likely do Britain good in the long run. I’m starting to feel much more more hopeful about the UK under Labour’s leadership now.

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch today launches her campaign for “Free Speech” in the UK, taking her lead from Musk. A reminder that “Free Speech” is Right Wing code for the freedom to cause harm by saying racist, misogynistic or homophobic things in public without consequence.
