Good article about reducing steel production carbon emissions. Covers the current progress (recycling, hydrogen, electrolysis etc) and includes the use of microwaves, which is a new one to me.

Chemistry World@chemistryworld.com

Steel is not an easy material to substitute & as one of the largest contributors to global carbon emissions, there is a long way to go to reach net zero – and no time to waste. Read on 👇 @frankbriggs.bsky.social @neilwithers.bsky.social @rsc.org #ChemSky www.chemistryworld.com/features/the...

Big fuss being made about Energy Minister Miatta Fahnbulleh 'promoting Shell' because her PPE had Shell branding. What was she suppose to wear? Are ministers now required to have a full range of PPE that is 'Gov UK' branded and satisfies every possible situation? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Of course the host company will provide the appropriate PPE for the business, location etc. They always have done. I'm sure bloody Thatcher wore what ever was provided even if she was visiting a nationalised industry. Lets have some common sense.
