Look I don't give a tiny shit why you're in Alberta, you should be treated properly and given healthcare. If you have an issue with this basic premise get entirely fucked.

Selling off Canada’s public infrastructure won't lower costs or build a fairer future for working families—it just guarantees higher corporate profits. You don’t build a stronger country by selling it off. My latest op-ed in @TheHillTimes www.hilltimes.com/2026/10/07/y... #cdnpoli #VancouverEast

The Liberals and Conservatives teamed up again today — funny how that keeps happening — to get Bill C-39 over the hurdle of its first vote. The massive, 243-page bill bulldozes environmental protections, Indigenous rights and attacks the right to strike. Here's what this means:

This. "Labour legislation has nothing to do with tariffs and the trade war. Why is Carney changing labour legislation now? Serious questions that need to be asked about Carney’s plan to send labour disputes to binding arbitration. " This "because Trump" stuff requires some thought!

The government legislation affirms they know they’ll kill these orcas. Why else would they need ministerial abilities to ignore laws that prevent projects from driving a species to extinction/extirpation AND to ignore conditions put in place to protect these orcas from this specific port expansion?

Rachel Gilmore@rachelgilmore.bsky.social

Straight up if these orcas die, I will never forgive this government. It’s genuinely devastating to contemplate — and make no mistake, the west coast pipeline and port expansion WILL kill them. We have to draw the line somewhere and these orcas deserve to have us fight for them.

Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet accuses Carney of breaking Canada’s proverbial window and telling foreign companies to help themselves. He says Carney is weakening laws protecting workers and the environment and using —“instrumentalizing” — the Trump threat as an excuse.

A reporter asked the government about the Trumpian tactic of flooding the zone with this bill (it’s an omnibus!) and the ministers appear outraged. They balk at a question that…accurately characterizes what they’re doing. If you don’t like it, don’t do it!

In a few days, Prime Minister Carney is inviting some of the world’s richest CEOs to Toronto to buy up Canada’s resources, public infrastructure, and more. We won’t save Canada by selling it off to the highest bidder. Join us, and let's build a Canada for the many, not the money.

Same story, but CBC chooses a headline that actually misrepresents the study and frames climate change as a now irreversible problem. The actual study, as AP notes, describes going over 1.5C and how to get back under that threshold.

Hey everybody. I’ve seen the statement by Matt Karch, the CEO of Saber Entertainment, and all of the truly horrendous things he said about me. I think it should be obvious to anyone who reads that statement that he’s lashing out because he did not want people to know there was AI use in the game.
