Allen Stroud and Juliet E. McKenna are at Bolsover Castle today talking about Margaret Cavendish and Science Fiction. If you are in the area, do come and say Hi! @julietemckenna.bsky.social @englishheritage.bsky.social

Fraudsters are AI-mincing books and republishing them onto Amazon. This was done to The Isle in the Silver Sea - I assume in the hope people would accidentally click on it. It's been removed, but this is a warning of something to look out for, to my fellow authors.

Can anyone help a new member get in touch with people willing to beta read his novel? Please message Richard for further details or to discuss.

Paris Celestial, A.Y. Chao's sequel to Shanghai Immortal is out today! Lady Jing is a Minister of Hell, and she's bored. She hatches a plan for an escape trip to Paris- what could possibly go wrong? Romance, danger, and a vampire train hijack! 💙📚🪐

#Booksky Birthday sale ends 1/11!

I'm so excited about this ... Eastercon in Belfast was brilliant, and now I'm going back to the same hotel as a Guest of Honour for the first Norncon in May. Alongside @aptshadow.bsky.social no less! Memberships are available at www.norncon.org

I've got two! The first is Mercutio, from HarperVoyager UK in May. Before he meets Romeo and Juliet, a young man named Mercutio encounters a poet named Dante on a battlefield, and they accidentally open a door to Faerie.

The second, The Swordmaster, is part of the Vampires of Dumas series from Solaris, which Emma Newman began with The Vengeance. Mine is a distinct storyline from hers, and is set in the time of Catherine de' Medici. No date yet but probably late 2026. Thanks for the thread!

Cannot wait! My daughter and I both love these books so much:

My novella comes out with @lunapress.bsky.social on Feb 3rd ! Gothic horror set in an alternative Edinburgh, cursed with eternal rain and ghosts that appear in the rain. Also, rituals, occult, creepy house, and weird moths ✨️🏚 linktr.ee/lyndseycroal

Whole thread of fabulous books! #NewYearNewBooks

If all goes well I'll have a small book about excellent highland cows coming out later this year:)

This Is Where The Future Bleeds, wherein a finder of destinies narrowly avoids her own murder and decides to prevent those responsible from getting to their next target. Come for the sapphic romance, stay for the giant wasps. (June, Titan)

Well, I'll have a new volume of the work of Lord Dunsany coming out in the Autumn. Posh hardcover signed boxed edition then a trade . Also illustrating Rise From These Dark Waters from @badhandbooks.bsky.social

Shoreline of Infinity has for a long time now always given immediate access to the digital editions when you order the print copy - have often thought about jazzing up the print edition a little more.

Anyone can now preorder our forthcoming editions of @naominovik.bsky.social's brilliant collection, BURIED DEEP. Full details and preorder here: subterraneanpress.com/novik-bdaos/

I have an eco-thriller coming out from @shirakipress.com called Accelerated Growth Environment! www.netgalley.com/catalog/book...

SCRATCH MOSS, my third folk horror -- this one in an industrial/post-industrial setting. Out March 5! www.canelo.co/books/scratc...

I'm releasing The Chosen One Con this year! A queer gaslamp fantasy featuring a contest to find the chosen one in a world of industrial magic and celebrity-branded potions.

My second novel, THE KNIGHT WATCH, will be published by Orbit in June this year. It features the Knights of the Round Table killing Nazis and living their messy queer afterlives during the Second World War. I'll be sharing the wonderful cover art as soon as I'm permitted to do so.

Today’s the last day to take advantage of this sale!
