Followed a bunch of new people to freshen my feed and got some follow backs, so hello? I post mostly tech, queer shit, books, food, random observations, and whatever I'm getting up to with @hon1nbo.hackingand.coffee. Bully me and we'll both cry. I block liberally.

Apparently it really pisses misogynists off when you tell them that no one has ever heard of this Shane dude (if my ig notifs are anything to go by). But fr I had to look him up. He's done nothing of note. He's a nobody and idk how the hell he got on SNL in the first place.

He's so forgettable that I can't even remember his last name at the moment and I can't be bothered to go look again at what it was.

Is an increase in clowns a recession indicator? The algorithm is pushing them at me hard. I'd push back but they're wearing the best crocheted duster I've ever seen.

Ham water - one step up from hotdog water (eww), but somehow becomes a delicious broth when veggies are added? Witchcraft

Ban Flock cameras. Ban Axon cameras. Ban Motorola cameras. Ban ALL automatic license plate readers. That was our message to the Senate today. The American people agree that it's time for Congress to take immediate action.

I don't suppose there's anybody in San Antonio with a shark tap I can borrow for the week, is there? I can pay in dinner, fun stories, singing/bad dancing, or the promise of a custom stained glass art piece (within reason).

If NFL owners want to censor who performs in stadiums, they shouldn't ask taxpayers to help build them. You can't take public subsidies for stadiums then use them as your personal editorial board. Pay for it all out of your own pocket and hold as many Kid Rock concerts as you want to.

The IG algorithm currently thinks I am: - an oblivious husband - an overworked mom - a promiscuous gay man (specifically a bottom) - a woman with ADHD and chaos in my life (partially right) - obsessed with the dinosaur game The Isle (which I have never played) Happy to be an enigma!

NO media 1000s are marching in DC to defend voting rights; 90 orgs signed on, Reuters sent photographers, but local media Bernie Sanders, AOC and Martin Luther King III attended Wa Post buried it A Black-led march is visible in DC only after somebody else reports it Repost the march they buried

Pursuing a book cart at a local craft fair. Oh cool, a @sarahgailey.bsky.social book. Spread Me, well this looks fun! Purchased, reading in the car, liking things so far, wait... ... .... ..... HOLY BACTERIOPHAGE, BATMAN!!!!! idk what the fuck I'm in for, but I'm here for the ride so let's go baby.

Well it finally happened. Almost 4 years into consulting and I finally had my first client call where the client no-showed. Shocked it hasn't happened sooner! Whatever will I do with this extra 45 minutes?

Just your casual daily reminder that political maps can be misleading because population density matters when making law. 3 people who live in the middle of nowhere don't get to decide the rights of 300 people living in the same town.

Remote wifi pentest today, client didn't plug in the wireless cards 😑 Absurd number of emails later and someone named Tom just says "Call me at this number". 1/3

Tom is not a technical person or actually involved in this project. Tom is tired of being copied on the emails so he's going to drive an hour and a half to plug in the cards. He's hourly, so he doesn't care. We agree on the phone that he'll call me when he plugs them in to make sure they work. 2/3

✅Takes control ✅Confirms the requirements ✅Communicates a plan ✅Springs into action ✅Ensures those actions fixed the problem. Tom is giving GOAT energy. Tom is making sure shit gets done. Be like Tom. 3/3

It's truly baffling to see how many younger C-levels are completely and utterly out of touch with any form of reality that has ever existed. Parroting the bizarre excuses that their boomer predecessors made up to push the blame on anything but their own greed.

If it looks like an Amazon delivery and drives like an Amazon delivery, then it's an Amazon delivery, right? Not according to Amazon. Big companies like Amazon have built a vast network of subcontractors who deliver their packages while shielding them from accountability.

The silver lining to having to sit out defcon today bc of joint issues is that the pool is completely empty at 9:30 am. Time to soak so maybe I can be functional in time to do some socializing later.

Hey divas, even if the DEF CON photo policy doesn’t technically apply in the hotel bathrooms, please don’t film in there, it’s fucking gross. We all deserve an expectation of privacy in the bathroom.

Don't mind me, just trying to figure out how to look like I don't wear sweatpants 90% of the time. #TheRoadToDEFCON #IsPavedByFashionMistakes

It's mildly concerning when murder birds start congregating on the roof of the neighboring house next while you've got your 10 lb dogs outside.

Put another way, the entire adult userbase is going to have to upload their IDs to sketchy third-party companies and link their identities to their online activity to stop a few dozen kids from accessing a platform that is mainly left-leaning news and commentary. What problem is this solving?

BREAKING: U.K. reveals Bluesky will be included in the under-16 social media ban, affecting dozens of teens.

I think the thing that makes the default public music being from my teens/20s now so maddening is that I can't stop singing along. How dare they target me so effectively!

Traveling for work was a lot more attractive when I was getting a break from North Texas. Now that I'm living in the PNW I hate leaving.

It's 10am on a Friday, I'm undercaffeinated, already overstimulated, gotta finish 2 reports, gotta pack for a trip next week, and my body is acting like I didn't get any sleep last night. Dragging myself through this day by willpower alone.

Because soccer coaches famously NEVERrrr SA their students.

Congratulations right-wingers, now the soccer coach gets to check your daughter’s genitalia.

It's fascinating to live in a time where the majority of global consumers are just fed up and hate everything new on the market. Hate removal of physical media Hate forced AI Hate video surveillance in cars and homes Hate micro transactions Hate digital subscriptions What a time to be alive!

Can someone please answer why the algorithm is peer pressuring Ketamine on me all day? Like, why is there merch?

I've been watching "For All Mankind" with @ibi5.bsky.social and I had to stop and pointedly call out the HID readers on the wall are off by at least 10 years. Yes an alternate timeline, but let's be honest: HID could never get it together for that level of acceleration.

At 37 yo I'm at a point in my life where I can buy the upgraded versions of things, but I've come to realize something... The upgraded versions of fish sticks suck. They keep trying to add more fish to them and it just makes them wetter inside and throws off the cooking time.

Went to a Girli concert last night and Creature Party opened. They have a pretty cool vibe and we're clearly having a lot of fun on stage.

Wish I could make a noise complaint about a wild bird. Just chilling on my deck waking myself up for the day and bro's over here chirping his heart out looking for any mates that might be left, but it's giving desperation.

I just want to rep this book by Julie Beeler before I gift it to a friend, bc this thing is GORGEOUS! It's incredibly detailed and has pages and pages of pigment colors that mushrooms can be used to create. I obv have one for myself, but I think this should be on every maker's shelf.
