Love to read an article on the β€œkey issues” in my ward and have the CBC uncritically say β€œdrug use” is one of the top issues when the ward contains the highest density of weed stores and psychedelic shops but that is absolutely not what they mean by that. GET FUCKED!!!

Walking across Bloor last night for 8 blocks, its abundantly clear that removing bike lanes will first and foremost cause harm to the city's food delivery drivers.

it's currently being taken down. this is devastating. i swear to god, we will take not just the lane but the whole fucking road.

Yvette πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ reposted

The MTO intends to violate their construction permit and begin work during the day to remove bike lanes. If you can, head down to the area but if not await urgent call outs for more info on when the removals are starting so we can have all out for that.

And yes they will most likely be back and yes will have to deal with it again but that should not dampen the wins that the community gets in this fight.

Here is what Ford wants to rip out. In a city stuck in debilitating gridlock, nothing better than removing bike lanes and getting more people driving. πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

It is Mean Girls Day And that means it is time to post the famous photo with Hamilton's own Dan Jelly walking as an extra in the background! Before he was making posters, he was on them! @jellybros.bsky.social

Oh sure, we'll say sorry. Sorry? As in, what the FUCK did you just say to me, bud?

Brent Toderian@brenttoderian.bsky.social

So Trump told reporters in the White House today that β€œCanada are going to come in and say, β€˜Sir, we are sorry’…” Trump is managed to do something I didn’t think was possible β€” guarantee that Canadians will never say β€œsorry.”

A good reminder that when you enjoy something someone has done -- a book they wrote, a performance they gave, a speech they made, whatever -- it is incredibly powerful to just reach out and tell them directly.

At Daisy Chain Fields tonight, Olivia Rodrigo brought out Sarah McLachlan for β€œBuilding A Mystery” and β€œAngel,” dedicated to Dolly Parton. The pop star's festival, which was inspired by McLachlan’s Lilith Fair, raised $10M for women's rights nonprofits, an amount Melinda French Gates is doubling.

HAMILTON FRIENDS: We represent a 17 year-old cyclist who suffered a spinal fracture after being hit by a motorist on Aug 25, 6 p.m, Mohawk Rd & East 37th. Driver did not call police to the scene (our client was in shock) so we don't have contact information for witnesses who stepped in to assist.

So, yes, the "police prevent crime", the "police are helpers" and the "we're safer with more cops on the streets" crowds...what say you?

Joey Coleman@joeycoleman.ca

I just witnessed a situation at King and James. An young man had grabbed the walker of an old woman. She called for help. Thankfully, numerous people intervened to assist. Attempts to flag two Hamilton Police officers, who were there, resulted in the officers asking people to call dispatch. (1/2)
