it's "support artists" until artists refuse to lowball themselves, and then it's "see this is why we feed your stuff into AI". go to hell tbh

"I am not responsible for the version of myself that someone else created in their mind" is the most powerful life lesson I've ever learned.

This might be my favorite leaf from yesterday. 🍂

Turning to BlueSky to find a home for 9-month-old kitty, "Shoes", Baltimore/DC area. His rescuers would love to keep him but they and their toddler are all violently allergic; not even meds and air purifiers are helping. But they love Shoes and want him to find a good home. Deets: (1/5)

Parents, please actually read the signs at museums and zoos if your kids ask what they say. It’s literally your job to help them learn 😭

It’s depressing to see schools use AI to create flyers, banners, & t-shirts. When I was in high school the faculty would come to the art department to have students create these things. I learned so many skills that have followed me my entire professional life. That’s what I thought school was for.

If you didn’t know about what’s happening throughout southern Italy, massive strikes are happening in the goods transport and agricultural sectors. There is no oil left at gas stations because it physically does not get there. Same for the produce sections at supermarkets: all empty.

I couldn’t find plastic orchid pots that were the right size (& I didn’t wanna buy a set of 24 from amaz*n), so I upcycled some water bottles by cutting tall ventilation slots around the base It’ll do for now while I continue my search locally She really needed a repot/trim 😭 #indoorgardening

What can you say? This was the definite winner they will never top. Also one of the best things I've seen at any PRGE #PRGE #PRGE2026

Some are suggesting you deliberately write inaccurate or confusing alt text, because they say this confuses AI scrapers that are analyzing images. The purpose of alt text is to help people who cannot see the image. Deliberately misrepresenting the image is a gross misuse of alt text. Don't do it.
