People like Kane and many many others that do care about human art and the creative process have been a beacon of hope while trying to navigate making art in this current climate.

Robot legs are here and they aren’t going anywhere. [booing begins] Whether you like it or not we are going to cut off all of your legs and arms [booing intensifies] and heads and replace them all with robot legs and only robot legs [shouting over boos] well I can see you aren’t ready for the future

Recently impacted by a Big Tech layoff? Remember, their decision to terminate your employment is NOT a reflection of your worth as a human being. What IS a reflection of your worth as a human being is the fact that you were willing to serve them in the first place. Have a great day!

Today in “you can’t help those who won’t help themselves” news, there’s a growing push for raw milk deregulation despite its known health risks, especially for children. If you’re cool w/ $20/gal to play raw milk roulette, also save some 💰 for your medical costs, time off work with diarrhea, etc.

Rafael Concepcion built an app to help immigrants avoid ICE raids. Then came death threats. Hacks. An app store ban. He even lost his job. Read @brendankoerner.bsky.social on one man's obsessive mission to resist ICE -- and the incredible personal toll it's taken.

Today I saw ICE gas little white kids in the streets of Portland with chemical weapons. Imagine what they're doing to brown and black kids in the detention camps

In law-enforcement terms, that shows a failure to apply training and a pattern of negligent behavior, not a one-time mistake. Finally, in use-of-force evaluations, officers generally cannot create their own danger and then rely on that danger to justify deadly force.

Let’s talk about something. The fact that the ICE agent who murdered Renee Good was dragged by a moving vehicle in a prior incident is not a defense, it actually makes the situation much worse for him.

much is made of “oh california has maga too! look at the central valley!” …. but i’ll never listen or worry about that again. they’re here, sure, but they do not matter. also, they should leave.

I can’t believe they called prop 50 the moment polls closed. That tells you something. Most of these races were called within 45 minutes. It’s a BLOWOUT, y’all. THAT is what we call a MANDATE.

California – this Election Day, vote yes on Prop 50. California’s Prop 50 says that if Republicans are going to abuse the system to try and hang onto power, we’re going to counteract that abuse and create a level playing field in the midterm elections. Make a plan to vote yes on Prop 50.

We’re in a moment now where it would be worth people taking three hours to watch Gandhi, particularly the scene of the salt march. There is value to making the brutality of your opponent so plain as day that no one can argue with it. The clarity of that brought down an empire

Jimmy Kimmel and other late-night comedians have certainly said things about me that I found offensive, even outrageous. It never crossed my mind to call up the networks and say, "Hey, get rid of this guy." Because that's not how America works. play.prx.org/listen?ge=pr...
