Beverly and Jeff Morris lived in peace and quiet on their beautiful farm before Meta broke ground on a data center complex next door. Now, they don't have clean drinking water and are dealing with constant noise pollution.

While voting in Tennessee, this happened to Dolly Parton's sister. Listen up, y'all. Take as long as you need to and make damn fucking sure your vote is cast correctly.

Powerful words from @aoc.bsky.social. America does not belong to any one race, religion, or creed. It is big enough for all of us who believe in democracy and in our Constitution and in leaving a future that is better for our kids.

Libraries make us a harder target for authoritarianism. Equal access to info, ideas, and space that doesnโ€™t require a purchase to belong. Also: using the library means money stays in your community instead of streaming out to Amazon. ๐Ÿ“š Whatโ€™s checked out on your card right now?

I donโ€™t agree with all Abdul El-Sayedโ€™s views, but GOP โ€œotheringโ€ is a disgrace. He was born in US, educated at Bloomfield Hills Andover, where he captained football team; Univ of Mich; Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar; Columbia, where he earned an MD. Debate his views, not whether heโ€™s a โ€œrealโ€ American.

โ€œYou said the 2020 election was rigged by either Venezuela or China. When you called that fella in Georgia pleading for 11,780 votes, was that part of the rigging, or part of the 6-year investigation? Just one more thing, sir, who was president while all this rigging took place?โ€

Statement from Annie Farmer on meeting with Todd Blanche: "After meeting with Todd Blanche, I feel even more confident in urging senators to vote against his confirmation as the United States' Attorney General. "I found him abrasive, condescending, and intentionally noncommittal to survivors."

Not enough people are talking about this. A Florida airport was renamed after Donald Trump. He walked away with the trademark, the licensing rights, and a deal that lets him profit off every piece of merchandise sold there. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

I've never seen a series finale as funny, emotionally impactful and downright spectacular as last night's Late Show! If you were horrified watching elected leaders run & scramble because of gun violence, just imagine how my daughter Jaime felt in school running from an active shooter before she was killed. Now, become a part of the solution & only vote for people determined to address gun violence in America.

I had the opportunity to confront Pete Hegseth's bigoted spiritual mentor, Pastor Doug Wilson, and call him out on his history of hate, his misreading of the Bible, his hijacking of Jesus, and his cosplay Crusading. It was worth it.

A big part of the authoritarian playbook is war. War takes over the news. War blots out criticism. War divides a nationโ€™s people, subjecting those against it to being called unpatriotic. War grants leaders all sorts of emergency powers. War consumes everything else. We mustnโ€™t let this war do so.
