reading this, it does seem as if “rationalism” is an elaborate intellectual architecture designed primarily to support the idea that if you were born white, male and clever then you are the genetic elite and entitled to rule.

Going from claiming your company is working on technology that might destroy humanity to leaking you’re on track to generate $100 billion in sales this year, just in time for the IPO. Makes it hard to defend the claims that this hasn’t all been a cynical form of marketing and regulatory capture.

Robert Reich has the answer… The ceiling on income subject to Social Security payroll tax must be raised. If all income in excess of $400,000 were subject to Social Security payroll tax, solvency would be guaranteed forever, and also expand SS benefits. robertreich.substack.com/p/they-dont-...

Today is the anniversary of Loving v. Virginia, the Supreme Court decision that legalized interracial marriage across all 50 states. It’s important to remember the progress we've made as we celebrate this historic win for love and equality. Happy Loving Day, everyone!

My record speaks for itself. I’ve never hesitated to hold polluters accountable. When bad corporate actors threaten the health of our communities, we need to stand up and fight back.

To escape authoritarianism, somebody's going to have to come up with an inspiring vision of what the country could be and motivate people to help make it happen. I'm guessing a bitter indictment of people whose support you're asking for may not help with that.

Since my father's death, I've been thinking about grief as a profound energy source-- of clarity, discipline, and commitment. With romantic weddings, we make promises to love our spouse. We should also normalize making vows to honor those who have left. karenattiah.substack.com/p/turning-my...

Today in History: December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks, a Black seamstress, was arrested after refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery, Alabama, city bus; the incident sparked a yearlong boycott of the buses and helped fuel the U.S. civil rights movement.
