How do people think this shit isn’t dystopian?

a cool thing about indie animation is that it's expected to save the entire industry, every show has to look better than the things the fans grew up on or it's a waste of time, there's no union to be found anywhere, no budget for any of it, and asking the audience to pay anything to watch is illegal

I don’t know if I have it but for me it’s executive dysfunction, rejection sensitivity, and I’ve been doing a lot more recently is bouncing from doing one thing to another

Big Brother 28 is a weird season because it has all the components I’d deem a good season must have — complete story arcs, memorable fights, blindsides, big moves, messy dynamics — but none of it ever landed for me and I think it boils down to this cast never really clicked. #BB28

I fully understand the slander big brother fans getting after this current season and it’s 100% deserved.

“Why does everything have to be a race/gender issue?” Says the person not of said race or gender to people of those groups.

We need more things made from people’s deep personal feelings, not less. We need less committee, less algorithm. The good stuff comes from people souls without being heavily tampered with by rich businessmen who know nothing about art or story. People want to connect with that gem inside.

I'm so serious in that I don't want to hear opinions about art and animation from obligate consumers anymore. If you only consume these things and don't create anything, shut up your mouth tbh. I'm fed up

People act like they can't recognize racism unless it's the n-word or something nastily overt. But you have to understand how common these microaggressions are. If we're seeing them so clearly in such a small, enclosed environment, imagine what it's like out in the world.

Creatives don't owe you shit. They fundamentally do not owe you shit. They made something. You saw it. There was never any responsibility involved. They don't owe you a "better version" of the work. They don't owe you "less problematic writing". They don't owe you more episodes. You deserve nothing.

Between leaks of two of the most successful indie projects we've had in a long time, fandom entitlement, dog piling creatives for telling thier stories the way they want to tell them, and the inescapabilty of ai slop, it's more important than ever to support real human artists and thier projects
