I haven’t spent much time hating on the Fox, World Series announcers, because I’m not into shooting fish in a barrel. But one dumb comment from last night is still stuck in my head this morning and I can’t let it go.

But it’s like, …sir. Have you ever considered adjusting your canned thoughts for the subtle context of the moment? This is the World Series. They were down 0-2. They brought the series home and had a chance to get back in it. They got absolutely destroyed. Now they are 0-3.

When there are an infinite number of games left to play, getting beaten this badly is probably not a big deal. But to get beat this badly and be brought to the brink of the end of your season? I can’t imagine that’s not pretty damn demoralizing.

I don’t know which of those dopes it was but after the Brewers got ahead 10 to 0, somebody said something like “when you get beat like this you just know you got whooped and you try to get back on track tomorrow. It’s much worse to lose 1 to 0.” And maybe that’s true on a random Thursday in June.

Sal Frelick left-left HR out to dead center is the latest addition to the Team of Destiny Shit the Brewers have pulled the past couple weeks

This morning, I was feeling nostalgic for the 90s music listening experience, so I picked out three CDs from my collection. The first one wasn’t in its case. The second one skipped on the best song. The third one had a different disc in its case. Exactly the experience I remembered.

Disgraced comedian workshops material for a comeback with small friendly audience; gets embarrassing tepid response.

Rudy Giuliani should absolutely be banned from the 9/11 observances. He supported an insurrection, just as he supported police attempting to invade City Hall, and is just as intent on destroying America as Bin Laden. New Yorkers don’t want him at the event. @nytimes.com why aren’t you covering this?

Completing my annual civil treatment workplace training, and we’ve been using the same videos for the past three or four years. I’m so tired of these unprofessional inappropriate clowns and their hypothetical HR scenarios.

I appreciate that Dolly Parton refused to participate in "dress respectability" and, by her own account, modeled her aesthetic after a town "tramp," who she thought was beautiful. She separated aesthetics from character and understood "classiness" to be about how you treat people, not how you dress.

A sci-fi movie set in 1976 where we defeat the aliens by having Dolly, Emmylou and Linda combine their voices and sing them into docile harmonious bliss.

I just gave into my late night cravings and went to the basement freezer to get an ice cream bar. Thank God, because I discovered that my wife had to put away a big package of frozen chicken in such a way that the door was not closed properly and everything would have been ruined by morning.

Brennan: "Nearly all of Florida is below the 95% immunization rate for herd immunity for measles. So, is your message to Florida parents to get your kids vaccinated?" Byron Donalds: "No. My message is the reason we have seen a measles outbreak is because of rampant illegal immigration."

Big decisions to make tonight. Do we watch the season finale of Lucky? Or do we watch the season premiere of Slow Horses? Or the next episode of MobLand which we just started. A plethora of tv riches to choose from.
