In 1999 my friend and I made a 20-foot Atari 8-bit SIO peripheral chain on the floor of my parents' basement (just to see if we could), and then set it up to record music from M.U.L.E., Ultima III, Archon, etc. to DAT. A Win98 PC and PS1 sat idle in the next room. I wish I had a picture.
