Always went to the full candy bar house. Always. Thanks PE.

"Finding the full-size candy bar house is one of childhood's great moments. We would never take that away. We've just tweaked it. Every kid still walks away with a full-size wrapper. There's just a fun-size bar inside it now." buff.ly/c1N81Zq

Completely outraged, agree

Tina Smith@smith.senate.gov

I’m outraged by this attack on Representative Omar. Trump and his DOJ have a bizarre obsession with tearing down Minnesota, our leaders and our communities. This latest action, even as voting has already started in Minnesota, is a transparent attempt to interfere in our elections.

Great review, as usual!

I was worried about Tame Impala tonight because the new album is a dud. But holy shit it was a *fantastic* show. The crowd was really diverse, too, from parents to teens to everything in between. It was like the Breakfast Club up in that bitch. Gift link to my review:

On the other site I would occasionally state my theory that the systematic destruction of the local newspaper ecosystem is not collateral damage from digital "disruption" or the Internet in general but a key part of a long range strategy to end accountability. I was informed that I was being silly.

You can’t talk about debt without talking about how we got into a bad predicament, and there’s only one correct answer: tax cuts enacted this century

Great insight by the Fed governor, as “Affordability“ is a nice way of saying ”help, I can’t make. Politicians ignore this cry for help at their own risk. A speaker on NPR earlier this week said food prices on average, are up 30% over the past 5 yrs. We are a country at the breaking point.

A $3 @mta.info subway fare and some good Q train timing can buy you one hell of a view of the July 4th fireworks and the Brooklyn Bridge light show! Huge shoutout to the train operator for slow rolling over the Manhattan Bridge and the conductor for announcing it.

As usual, Applebaum gets it right in a succinct manner

Anne Applebaum@anneapplebaum.wsocial.eu

If you undermine independent judges, media and civil service, shroud decisions in secrecy and let it be known that government is for sale.... Then corruption is what results. America and Zimbabwe in this sense are no different.

Fascinating to see and understand his process with the New Yorker cover!

Annie Lennox, my god!

R. Eerie VanBoo-kirk@sotsogm.bsky.social

I think my favorite thing about this is the way Bowie, and to a lesser extent, Queen, start out by phoning it in a little, just a bit of "Let's just run through it and make sure everyone remembers how this goes" until Lennox brings it and everyone's suddenly like, "OH! It's THAT kind of rehearsal."

Don't let ICE and this administration lie to you. I saw inside Delaney Hall with my own eyes. The conditions are absolutely unacceptable.
