Remember when Pete Hegseth's mom wrote him a letter telling him he was a misogynistic POS?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Acton, is a liar, and much worse. The Press is trying to get him to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about daughter that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving"

shitposts aside, this one is serious, my loves: if you’re just waking up and you have any service online running PHP 5.4 to latest, you need to take it down RIGHT NOW and don’t put it back online until after it’s patched absolutely catastrophic vulnerability dropped in the middle of the night

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

There will be a lot of equivocating about all the times search warrants have been executed on members of Congress for corruption investigations and the like, and it can't be stressed enough in how many ways HSI raiding Ilhan Omar is extremely not like that.

The targeting of one data center is proving a really useful natural experiment showing which sites and ideologies are an echo chamber of Russian propaganda

Nicholas Grossman@nicholasgrossman.bsky.social

Uh oh, did someone’s website and personal account experience a big drop in activity after Ukraine hit a Russian data center?

I truly believe that every Democrat running for Congress right now should pledge that if elected to a majority in both houses they will impeach, convict, and remove President Trump from office.

If they did that, spend the next three weeks going on offense, fighting back, picking the hard fight by saying with righteous certainty and moral clarity that it *has* *to* *end* *now*, people would mass mobilize to get the vote out, and Dems would sweep into power with that mandate to fulfill.

And yeah yeah, I know, 2/3 in the Senate is a high bar. It's a national travesty they didn't reach it last time with this guy. Dare to dream that a big enough electoral swing would make it happen. Then impeach Vance too.

I truly believe that every Democrat running for Congress right now should pledge that if elected to a majority in both houses they will impeach, convict, and remove President Trump from office.

This right here is a clear and compelling midterm message: "If elected we will end the federal nightmare. Starting on day one our top priority will be removing this lawless, bigoted, violent, corrupt administration from power."

Real interesting anti-Klobuchar flyers parachuting into South Minneapolis. I'm really curious who's funding "Citizens For Public Safety Transparency LLC." Nothing pops up on a Google search for them and I suspect they don't practice the transparency they preach.

Bouza was right when he said that "cops don't prevent crime they fight it"

I've replied STOP dozens of times this month to unsubscribe from unsolicited text messages asking me for a political donation. Yesterday a local candidate texted and didn't ask for money, instead offered a lawn sign. I accepted and donated to cover the sign cost. Pols should take a lesson from that.

if you want to read the minneapolis / MPD budget teaching brief that WEAVE (ward eleven allied voices for equity) put together, they shared it here: drive.google.com/file/d/1y3Fn... very well put together, dense with facts and critical information as we head into city budget season!

WEAVE (ward eleven allied voices for equity) were at southside, we outside today with a quiz on the city of minneapolis budget, which council president elliott payne got 100% on! the mayor also stopped by and was talking to them for like 20 minutes, apparently disagreeing on facts they presented

There is pervasive corruption across our healthcare and agricultural systems that defy party lines. I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.

When all is said and done, these people need to face accountability and consequences.

I have real concerns about how moderate Craig will vote in a seat held by progressives for almost two decades, but we should fear putting someone at the top of the ticket with demonstrated animosity towards other statewide candidates. Will she deliver votes to reelect our AG? Do her supporters care?

“Conservative evangelicals” talk all the time about the need to speak out on moral issues. Yet when they had a once in a lifetime chance to show that their values mattered more than their political allegiance, they resoundingly failed the test. Makes it hard to believe anything they say now.

Colbert nailed it 20 years ago.

Stephen Colbert warned us about the phenomenon of “truthiness” in the premiere episode of his satirical show The Colbert Report in October 2005. If you’ve never seen it, this clip explains why Trump’s lies get so much traction.

We agree with much of this, however there are a couple additional points we'd like to add. The article suggests reporting the offending account to the platform's moderation. Unfortunately with many platforms, this accomplishes nothing and the offender may just continue on with their victims. 🧵👇

BREAKING: Just 20 minutes before Trump's announcement that the Strait of Hormuz was open, massive trades hit the market. Investors sold a combined 7,990 lots of Brent crude futures, a $760 million bet that oil would go down. These orders were much larger than anything else at the time. Unusual.
