In solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.

These peaceful observers I spoke to had ICE show up at their homes in what they see as attempts at intimidation. ICE has somehow been accessing Minnesotans' private data in likely violation of state law, according to privacy advocates. share.google/J00lpWzPzOu2...

Welcome to the Overlook hotel. I wonder how many of these greedy, corrupt ghouls will be cursed to haunt the rooms of Mar a Lago for eternity. Seriously though, what a stark visual of callousness on display.

The Irish butter ice cream at the Blue Moon dine-in theater at the MN state fair is the best thing I had at the fair...maybe ever. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A moment of levity I found in an article that terrifies me: "It's astonishing to me that the very people who not a handful of years ago were screaming about the government tracking us with vaccines now cheer for feeding every piece of information about themselves into Elon Musk's stupid Skynet."

EXCLUSIVE: A whistleblower tells Congress and NPR that DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data and hid its tracks. "None of that ... information should ever leave the agency," said a former NLRB official.

OMG! I've never seen Tortilla chip watch tv before. He watched Flow today and pawed the screen and answered meows. It was painfully cute! Happy #caturday

This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position. Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

Minnesota’s deputy director for the Small Business Administration was fired Feb. 7, rehired days later when the government said it made a mistake, and then fired again last week. Another federal employee who was abruptly fired has newborn twins in the NICU. More stories of chaos + cruelty:

Missouri's AG Andrew Bailey is suing Starbucks, arguing that its workforce is too "female" and "non-white" and as a result Missouri consumers “pay higher prices and wait longer for goods and services" because its workforce is "less qualified" This is a brazenly racist and sexist lawsuit.

I wonder where we'd be right now if Elon had a special ed teacher to help him learn to regulate his emotions...

Max Kennerly@maxkennerly.bsky.social

To be clear, it's not a mistake that grants to train special ed teachers were cancelled. MAGA absolutely considers those to be verboten "DEI," and Silicon Valley considers them contrary to their eugenics project.

Listen, you may want to save Medicaid, an essential lifeline to 80 million Americans. But verily I say to you, wouldn't you rather give the richest dork ever to live massive tax cuts & billions in subsidies while buyng a bunch of his shitty trucks that even his fans don't want?

"Many of my good friends have their funding withdrawn or frozen based on the DEIA wording such as 'diverse microbes'" a scientist reliant on federal research grants told me, adding NSF proposals with terms including 'disabilities' and 'female' have been put on hold

Keep it up! I swallowed all my social anxiety to make a call last weekend to Amy Klobuchar. If I, a person too afraid to order pizza over the phone, can call a US senator and demand action, so can you!

NEW: Democrats are facing a historic volume of phone calls from constituents infuriated by Trump. "I can't recall ever receiving this many calls," says Rep. Jim McGovern, who has been in Congress since 1997. The message: "Fight harder." @axios.com www.axios.com/2025/02/06/d...

My uncle on Facebook is asking when Lego will start making border Patrol play sets again since Biden made them stop...these dumbfucks don't live in the same reality as everyone else.

When will a journalist ask him why he assumes minorities and women are unqualified for every skilled profession and what exactly does he feel they are qualified to do; because it seems really fucking racist and misogynistic to me and the media dances around it like he might have some sort of point.

Yes. As someone who interned at a Congressional office in college, once a week I had to listen to every voicemail left at the front desk overnight and log every call and what they were asking about, and the reports would be sent to the higher-ups in the office on a regular basis.

It is very easy to call your representatives’ offices. They have to log your calls and the call numbers are meaningful. You don’t even have to try to convince anyone; just call and tell them your concerns. They are there to represent you. Let them know what that means. www.usa.gov/elected-offi...
