The law of pregnancy is overrun by a sexist ideology that masquerades as sex equality while denigrating gestation and other caretaking. Feminists must work to overthrow this skewed value system that subordinates women, devalues caretaking, and impoverishes the law of our fundamental rights.

Nothing is more docile than a proletariat unequipped to frame their own arguments, relegated to fact-checking a denial of service machine.

It's amazing, but shouldn't be, how much better the frat guys' ideas are than anything the university is doing. (Basically, requiring everyone to click a box that says "I promise not to rape anyone" before they enroll.) But all of them concede the frats' monopoly on campus nightlife ...

Not only do jurors and grand jurors have a right to nullify, individual citizens also have a right to advocate for nullification to the public. This investigation is unlawful retaliation against the exercise of core constitutional rights.

Car infrastructure make our world less walkable not just by taking up space, but by sapping the joy (and safety) from our environment.

If I built an AI lab and it went rogue and deleted all student loan information, I'm betting they'd suddenly figure out how to prosecute me.

You can tell this is bad faith by the choice of almond milk as the comparator. Cow-milk production uses nearly twice as much water (and emits 4.5x as much CO2). Almond milk is the "own the libs" choice.

A young woman just sat next to me on Amtrak and immediately asked to plug in her charger ... and thread the cord behind me (in the window seat) so she (in the aisle seat) count keep using it. I don't actually mind, but I never would have asked.

Historically, automation tech has commonly made more work for people: the issue is WHICH people. Whether as an excuse for owners to increase the requirements for expectations in a given day, lessen the labor expected of men while raising the expectations for women, etc. "AI" isn't exceptional.

Participation is solicited by emails that tell you what they're trying to show, with hints about how it will help support the company if they can "prove" that watching a dance performance will make you better at creating value for shareholders.

25 years ago today, George W. Bush signed the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force into law. Barbara Lee was the only member of Congress to vote against it, warning it would be a blank check for forever wars. History has proven her lonely and courageous vote right.

CVS website claims to have Novavax in stock at my location, but if I try to schedule it, I get this. If I say I want MRNA--no problem, I can schedule an appointment. So the site is (1) lying about having Novavax in stock and (2) giving out inaccurate, dangerous medical advice.

I eventually reached a person by phone and made an appointment! He suggested I call their IT dept about the website, which is NOT an acceptable customer service response, but he sounded so beaten down that I tried to do it. The phone system doesn't work either, completely unable to accept a command.

Money that comes into the United States government is government revenue. It is part of the public fisc. There's not "taxpayer money" and then "extra bonus money outside the rules." It's all taxpayer money. And spending *any* of it requires Congressional authorization. 2/
