NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

always kinda feel like these are useless clickbait but it likely is true that everyone bordering likes MN and they're like, nah, i'm moving to winnipeg

I guess we find out the rules now. Personally profiting but not in the family gets you jail

BREAKING NYT: The Trump Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into Corey Lewandowski over accusations that he personally profited from his role as a top adviser to the Department of Homeland Security, according to two officials with knowledge of the situation.

ahhahaha, not entering the contest because i dont have a console, but saving this one cause the replies are gold

Ben Collins@bencollins.bsky.social

Okay, here's the deal, I stupidly bought NBA 2K27 as a digital code on NewEgg.com because I had a promo code, but I bought it for the wrong console and I can't return it. Not a contest, but reply to this post with your favorite Onion sports headline and I'll straight up give one of you the game.

Honeypot implies he would need to be tricked instead of just selling stuff to the highest bidder

those couple days of boycott we had there were pretty glorious in retrospect

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump's brain is just flitting from topic to topic without him finishing a thought or speaking coherently. Get a load of this.

What a classless series of decisions by this USC defender. He: takes a cheap shot at Dante Moore, celebrates his ‘play’ not realizing penalty flags were raining down, then acts like a wrestling villain as he heads to the sideline. Moore is hurt.

Holy crap Friday already innit and I guess we’re all out of real news

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Is asking someone to leave the beverages at home for an interview as fussy as reminding a lady to wear pantyhose or a gentleman to ask before lighting a cigarette? We assembled a team of Post staffers across the newsroom — and commenters — to find out: https://wapo.st/4dwx0LS

I keep thinking about this, not just in this context, but the other awful government agencies. The guy who drove the bulldozer to knock down the east wing. The pilot who flies the rendition flights. Hell the guy who *fuels* the flights. Get em all, eventually I bet it stops

dr. rich traditions, JD@helldude.bsky.social

we have control mechanisms for this. it's called The Law. these guys should be held personally liable for these harms. the suicides, the thefts, the intrusions into computer systems. they should be sued and prosecuted as appropriate. problem immediately solved

uh huh ……… (not holding my breath. scammers gonna scam)

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

Trump: "If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate...I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000."

yeah that’d do it alright

Matt Novak@paleofuture.bsky.social

This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.

boy that first sentence is gonna make for nice flyers when he’s getting primaried in a few

Sen. Adam Schiff@schiff.senate.gov

I am in strong agreement with the President. Congress should immediately take up and pass a federal film tax incentive to bring back these good-paying jobs that we've lost to other countries.

of course none of this is real but it would be really awesome to suddenly get to like 70 dem senators next jan and just push allllllllll the stuff through before anyone could do anything about it other than threaten to move to hungary

I know a lot of people are rightly saying this is an awful thing But remember, by their definition, this was a success. This was exactly what they wanted and what their voters wanted and so they’ll run on this again. Sickening

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

There will probably be far fewer foreign students on college campuses nationwide this fall following the Trump administration’s crackdown on international visas. A new report predicts international enrollment will decrease by 9.5 percent this fall.

so i guess the hp adaptations of the 22nd century and beyond will also get slammed for historical accuracy ... 🙄

Trivia question of the day is “can you name both people on this graphic” and it’s harder than you’d think for most

pretty sure that third one is a reverse psych , accusation-is-an-admission kind of thing.
