We may need this anti-American invasion coalition again sooner than we think...

On this day in 1813, the Battle of Chateauguay was fought near present-day Ormstown, Quebec. A combined force of British, Canadian and Mohawk repelled an American force who were attempting to invade Lower Canada. 🎨 Henri Julien

The Alberta referendum will soon be over (I hope) because Canada is better with Alberta remaining with the rest of us! So I am drinking Gibson's Finest in my Canadian Club glass, cooling the whiskey with cubed stones from the peaks of Alberta's rockies. Vote NO to all ten questions! #CanadaStrong

If you, btw, would like an example of a place where data centres are *actually* being restricted by legislation, go look at Denmark - where they are now last in the grid connection queue, prioritising socially valuable load growth (like electrification, heating, cooling, new homes) first

Amen! This is one of those city-defining characteristics that municipalities can decide if they want; not a local feature that the province should force (either to have or not to have). Give the people what they want!

I'm surprisingly emotional while watching Carney's address to the EU. Could not be prouder of our PM, who seems to very seriously cherish the values of the rule of law, mutuality, sustainability, and cooperation. This is a powerful political and economic pivot. www.thestar.com/news/mark-ca...

the only way AI is killing us all is if we let the AI CEOs get their way and build so many fossil-powered data centers they trigger runaway warming. stop giving any fuel to the sensationalist, science fictional notion they’re building an intelligent computer that will decide to murder us all.

We are living in a dystopian state in Ontario. Look at these ads that our province is running. people don't have anywhere to go anymore - and if you aren't a moment or two away from being in the same spot, count yourself fucking lucky.

My street missed the worst (all we had at our house were some leaves blown into the pool), but there were trees down just a few hundred metres from here. Wild storm! The craziest part was the rolling thunder that would go one for 30 seconds or more. Never heard anything like it.
