There are those using this as a chance to suppress any criticism of Israel or advocacy for Palestinian rights And there are those using this to suggest there are no issues with Macklemore & antisemitism Both are disingenuous and undermine the fights against real antisemitism & attacks on democracy

Both extremes are using this story to their advantage. Artists should not be banned for standing up for Palestinian rights. They *should* be held accountable for explicit hate. (By that standard, Kanye should of course also face real accountability.)
