The popular monsters of the era reflect the cultural zeitgeist. In the 2000s, it was zombies. In the 2010s, it was vampires. And now, it's women!

mandates are basically fake. a political fiction on kind of the same level as resigning to spend more time with your family. but if we pretend they're not fake, 50-60% aren't really strong mandate numbers. the province is hardly clamoring for something if 45% of people here are against it

If the separation vote goes the way the polls have indicated, this was a wholly unnecessary pairing that serves only to keep him politically relevant as other conservatives more openly slide to the far right. She (and the NDP) got played.

I don’t remember this SCTV sketch but, man, I do love Dave Thomas and Catherine O’Hara.

with 0 polls reporting and 0% of votes counted, I am confidently calling this all a bunch of vaporous theatrical nonsense that cost us tens or perhaps hundreds of millions of dollars of public money which should have gone to the fucking hospitals

voting today didn't take very long, turnout does not look good or bad, but it was a little fucked to find one of those GoA propaganda pamphlets in the damn voting booth

yes. i support doing this

The Trump-aligned CEO of an American corporation is dismantling one of Canada’s most important industries and 500 Canadian workers could lose their jobs. If we’re serious about making Canada strong, it’s time to take back control of our economy and nationalize Stelco.

something i have observed among streamers is that project zomboid weapon choice is mostly gendered. women run the paring knife, men the baseball bat, everyone else firearms. however, there is an intersectional factor, which is that if you're good at video games you go short blunt

It's good for people to abandon movements when they realize what they've been (some amount of willfully) ignoring or dismissing this whole time is in fact real. No more media career, though. No more notoriety. Like a pilot that forgets to put down the landing gear. Sorry bud, you don't have it.

with 11% of locations reporting, i am confidently calling the calgary-shaw election in favor of the party that ends up getting a plurality of the votes
