“Farage & Jenrick were forced to face rows of empty seats as they set out a limp package of rehashed plans ahead of the Budget..The miserable turnout another sign of Reform’s sliding popularity…Ipsos this weekend put Labour on 32%, Tories on 24% & ReFUK on 20%..” www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...
Depressing to hear the BBC propagating the non-story started by the Tories about the possibility of power cuts because of renewables
A classic fossil fuel lie being given credibility by our public service broadcaster

"Don’t look to the past. Look to the future.”
A clear message from Bernd Lange, Chair of the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee.
After meeting ministers and parliamentarians in London, he says there is a new mood around UK–EU relations.
So many people are still on X in spite of Musk trying to destroy our democracy and supporting Russia against Ukraine
It's evidence of a highly damaging and widespread addiction
The government could and should take action by shutting down X
Due to the Super El Niño, forecasters are warning of a stormier and wetter winter for the UK.
I’ve asked the Minister how she is working across government to ensure preparedness for flooding risks this winter is stepped up to keep our communities safe.
Belief that Reform and the Greens are 'main parties' in Britain today has fallen back in recent months, with Labour and the Tories now the only parties seen as such by a majority of Britons
Labour: 90% (+8 from 20-21 May)
Conservatives: 86% (+8)
Reform: 44% (-17)
Lib Dems: 34% (-4)
Greens: 16% (-8)

In which the Green Party condemns its leadership for treating entryists as entryists when in fact they are members
Which they obviously are
Otherwise they couldn't be entryists
It has been 18 days since the Greens last sighted their plot

Can we bring back the giants? 🦬
Britain once had many more large herbivores, including aurochs, wild horses, wild boar, red deer, roe deer, elk (or moose) and the steppe bison.

The chance to keep global warming below 1.5°C with no overshoot is gone.
But urgent action can still limit the overshoot and bring warming back to 1.5°C by 2100.
Current policies, however, put the 🌎 on course for up to 2.8°C this century.

Deeply irresponsible decision.
After a summer of intense heat driven by climate breakdown, this Labour Government has put fossil fuel profits ahead of lower bills.
Jackdaw won't cut bills or secure our energy future. It just locks us into a doom loop of fossil fuel dependence.
The Govt claiming we must drill more fossil fuels so we can use the tax revenues to fund the green transition is about as logical as a doctor telling you to smoke 2 packs a day to raise the money for your lung transplant
You don’t put out a fire by pouring on more fuel 🔥#Jackdaw
A new poll says my Green Party would win zero seats in London at general election, down from 21 in one poll a few months ago. Negative growth is still growth, right?!
uk.news.yahoo.com/labour-win-r...
There will be many specific reasons for these declines - chemicals, changing farming practices, climate change, insect populations, disease - but over all its not that complex. We extract too much, we pollute too much, we are too careless and leave too little. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
The good European alternative is @eurosky.social which is operated by the Dutch Modal Foundation and has its servers within the EU. They are open, interoperable and building digital infrastructure for all of us.
I migrated my account to Eurosky in july and it was and is a good decision.
Everyone had high hopes that W-social would be a good European social media alternative.
It's not working out that way.
Very disappointing.

If you thought Farage’s Reform and Polanski’s Green’s couldn’t sink any further into the cesspit of racism and antisemitism, Noa Hoffman of the Spectator has a breaking story tonight of rampant homophobia, including advocating stoning, from “Greens for Palestine” members . Vile #bbcpm#r4today
Insulating Britain’s homes and investing in heat pumps would do more to cut the cost of living, create jobs and boost the UK’s economy than drilling for new oil @e3g.bsky.social
The the Institute of Economic Affairs is an anonymously-funded neoliberal think tank whose alumni appear on the BBC virtually every day of the week without viewers having a clue whose interests they represent, in flagrant violation of the BBC's own editorial guidelines.

Imagine the psychic damage that should follow from realising you are just as unpopular as Rupert Lowe.
Then realise that The Ego will feel none of that.
Good grief. Just pick another leader.
New from @ipsosintheuk.bsky.social
Zack Polanski favourability ratings fall to worst ever as leader.
- 52% are now unfavourable towards Polanski (+6 from Sept).
- 16% favourable (-2).
This is the highest % unfavourable we have found for Polanski & the lowest % favourable
Polanski's happy place is being seen as a Messiah by 5% to 10% of the electorate. There is no way he is changing and no way most voters will ever take the Greens seriously while he is in charge of them.
Asked whether he thinks Israel has a right to exist, he says no country has a right to exist and that people have a right to exist, adding that he wants Israelis and Palestinians to live side-by-side with the same rights. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c6...

You may say that, but, actually, under international law, you don't have the right to exist and that is not a controversial opinion, actually, and, actually, anyone who supports Labour smells of poo, so there.
'The government’s £15bn warm homes plan – insulating Britain’s homes and investing in heat pumps – which is currently under threat of cuts, would do more to cut the cost of living, create jobs and boost the UK’s economy than drilling for new oil.'

Jenrick on #r4today trying to downplay the raging racism of Reform… by saying “Farage has done more than anyone else to stand up against racism and the far right”.
Farage the schoolboy Nazi.
Farage the ‘breaking point’ Brexiter. Farage the mass-deportations champion.
Farage the far right racist.

HUGE thank you to everyone who bought something already. 😊
Here are two of my most popular designs so far: The heron & the emperor moth. More coming soon…

Huge respect for Caroline Lucas this week, repeatedly standing up to antisemitic entryism while remaining staunchly critical of Israel and the government's failures on that front. You can see why she used to be leader
I’m sorry, but this is utterly outrageous! Caroline Lucas is the undisputed most successful Green Party politician in history.
To call her a “shill for apartheid and genocide” is insane!
I’d rather see a Green Party dominated by the likes of Lucas than one dominated by ignorant reactionary Trots!
Will some intrepid journalist please ask
Boris Johnson & Nigel Farage
to admit their lies, end their silence,
