This is just the maddest argument. These people would trap us in poverty to keep a decade old commitment, which no one ever actually made, to an electorate which no longer exists.

How much of the 'pointless bureaucracy' Labour are saying they will remove is actually about the social or environmental impact of business? If they are employing slave labour in China or destroying the rainforests then that reporting is essential

Depressing to hear the BBC propagating the non-story started by the Tories about the possibility of power cuts because of renewables A classic fossil fuel lie being given credibility by our public service broadcaster #BBCR4Today

It's really mystifying why Labour decided to tax employment rather than the rich Any thoughts? Why should they think you should pay less tax on income from investments than income from hard graft? Why would a *labour* party do this? Incomprehensible

The govt itself has admitted Jackdaw won't bring down energy bills or create many jobs. So I asked the PM: does Labour disagree with the overwhelming scientific consensus that fossil fuels must stay in the ground? Or was lobbying from the oil and gas lobby simply too difficult to ignore?

Some people here don't seem to have understood the purpose of a political party. It's not the same as a protest movement. It is a vehicle designed to get into government, to change legislation and make a material difference to the lives of people at home and abroad.
