"My opponent wants to hire creeps to inspect your daughter's genitals if she wants to play soccer. I wouldn't trust him or any hired weirdo from his pedophile-protecting party alone in a room with any kid." Go on the offensive, you cowards! It's not that hard!

"This election is about the threat of trans kids" is the worst possible messaging for Dems yet so many candidates are leaning into it. No voter will flip R->D over it. Low-info voters read this as "you're focused on bullshit that doesn't affect me" while the base reads this as "you're an asshole."

In Massachusetts, we have a responsibility to protect the vulnerable and stand up for those who need it. We don’t throw trans kids under the bus for political points. We protect them—and all of our neighbors—because trans rights are human rights.

This was always the goal - not fairness, but harassing and “investigating” every woman athlete. Because ultimately they don’t think women should play sports because it’s not feminine enough.

What do you do when you've launched a moral panic about transgender athletes in the WNBA, but there has never been an active trans player in the league? Simple: you start a conspiracy theory about every single woman on the court.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security

I used AI to get some bath time stories once, but then I realized the stories I made up were more engaging to my kid, even if they were incredibly simple.

Trump’s bombing of Iran is reckless and a direct threat to American and Iranian lives. Launching military strikes without congressional authorization or evidence of an imminent threat is not strength. It is an abuse of power. Tell your Members of Congress to put an immediate stop to this war.

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

Any elected Republican with an ounce of integrity would leave the party. Not one in Congress is leaving because they're all cowards or fascist bootlickers or both. (*Though Massie has been doing some good from the inside).

MN Gubernatorial candidate Chris Madel withdrew this morning from the race, saying "he cannot support the national GOP’s “stated retribution on the citizens of our state, nor can I count myself a member of a party that would do so.” www.startribune.com/chris-madel-...

"The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that."

The most intense feelings I’ve had from a game were from the Last of Us DLC

It should be illegal for a game to cause so many intense emotions. How dare you make me feel things!

When I was very tiny—maybe a year old—I had a pop-up book of insects. Every time I looked at it, I would flip past the caterpillar as fast as possible, until one day I opened it straight to that page and tore that motherfucker right out.

1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but 2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but 3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So 4. Now the LLM code points to malware.

David D. Levine@daviddlevine.com

LLMs hallucinating nonexistent software packages with plausible names leads to a new malware vulnerability: "slopsquatting."

7. If you're an activist, anytime someone in a position of power (the CEO of a company you're targeting, a member of Congress etc) tells you that your tactics are "too agressive" and "counterproductive" that just means that you're getting under their skin and you should keep doing what you're doing

You are up to date.
