There comes a time in every reactionary politician's life when he must steel himself, insert a nasogastric tube for unclear reasons, put on his bravest grimace, and give the weirdest thumbs-up anyone has ever seen.

Beyond a new rape allegation, the @democrats-judiciary.house.gov report implicates current Attorney General Todd Blanche, stating he "may have engaged in criminal obstruction of justice while acting on a mission to protect Trump," referring to an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell. Seems like news!

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

Michigan: don't forget to vote early! Nov. 3 is going to get very hairy here thanks to Mike Rogers and his fascist thugs. It's also super convenient to go on your own time. If you have absentee ballots, get those in to your clerk or a dropbox. Please do not wait until next week to mail them...

It's good sometimes to be reminded that a world that would take away riches and power from the rich and powerful, would also free them from their own empty lives, and they could develop relatively real relationships with others.

Fellow WA voters, let's bury this. I can't imagine any parent wants to subject their child to this vile "examination."

Doctors and nurses are voicing their objections. I-638 would require EVERY girl who wants to participate in sports to go through biological sex verification. That means expensive, invasive, and utterly gross examinations. Protect our kids and let them play. Vote NO on I-638

One of the beautiful things about real art is that you have control: I can listen to records I already own without giving a dime to sex pests. I can (shittily) play songs on my guitar without giving billionaires royalties. If I want to experience a magical school, I can draw or write that myself.

I’ve been released from IDF custody with a β€œwarning,” apparently because of my public profile (I told them I wasn’t even a congressmember yet, just a nominee). But several dozen rabbis & participants harvesting olives with me are still in detention.

Nothing quite sums up the abhorrent violence inherent in the state (anywhere, everywhere in the world) than a video of the cops tear gassing an orchestra playing music at the Place de la Republique in France yesterday

This is a masterclass in effective communication while also not being afraid to point out bigotry for what it is. We should be so lucky to have someone like this in our government.

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

Me wondering why I can't gain weight despite going to the gym. Also me:

I would like to exit the part of my weird neurodivergent food issues cycle where all food sounds unappealing and eating anything is an annoyance to re-enter the subsequent part of the cycle where I get really really interested in cooking new things again. I wish my brain didn't have idiotic seasons

Borders exist to give colonialist projects moral and rhetorical cover for violence defending land they stole. They’re still just imaginary lines harming very much not imaginary people.

Defund and abolish ICE. Melt down their weapons and shift its budget to social services and affordable housing. Ban everyone who led or worked for ICE from any government job. Corporate death penalty for the companies that aided them. Citizenship to all of its victims, should they want it.

This immediately brought to mind the way Border Patrol monopolizes the 911 emergency response systems for migrants, ignoring calls from people presumed to be crossing the border, then leaving them to die in the desert.

Max Granger@maxgranger.info

"When bystanders called 911 seeking emergency medical attention for the locked down protester, the callers were informed that emergency medical services would not be responding to the scene."

This was one of the more diabolical Trump admin moves on immigration; ordering ICE to stop taking biometrics for detained immigrants seeking immigration benefits from USCIS, which meant that the agency would deny their applications by default.
