The Executive Branch has no authority to regulate states’ election decisions as to candidate qualifications, and the choice to file a lawsuit like this just days before an election speaks volumes about the political corruption festering at the top levels of the DOJ.

NEWS — The Trump administration sued Alaska over Dan J. Sullivan’s Senate candidacy, arguing voter confusion could affect the race between Sen. Dan S. Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola, per Courthouse News.

When I first moved to DC, it became super obvious that WaPo’s editorial board was out-of-touch with residents and their needs. But holy shit—the current trash being promoted by the new editorial board is so atrocious at some points it resembles satire. It’s so bad it is absurd.

Unknown substances are being mailed to lawmakers, the U.S. is in another stupid war, and wildly Islamophobic remarks from Republicans. The early aughts are back! But the prices for anything from the 2000s didn't come with them.

Lafayette Square isn't "a historic protest site." It's a fucking park. And it's packed on nice days. Calling it a protest site is White House framing. They're closing a popular public park to create a presidential palace Saddam Hussein would love.

The Bari Weiss effect in action. Let's leave out that this GOP House Speaker was a serial child molester. Those words aren't mine, but those of a federal judge.

This man is addicted to fraud. He yearns to let private companies terrorize sick people. Reminder: A healthcare company he led pleaded guilty to 14 felonies for fraud. He walked away with over $350 million. This man should never be allowed to speak to issues related to healthcare.

To all those celebrating Rosh Hashanah across North Carolina: L’Shana Tova! May you have a happy, healthy, sweet, and peaceful new year.

Maybe don’t make your Labor Day post with AI? Even better, if you’re a politician, here’s a pro-tip… your Labor Day post that fails to mention unions or the working class is bad.

Some voices tell you exactly where they come from. Dolly never sanded Appalachia out of hers. To me, her accent always sounded like home. She cared enough about our mountains to make sure generations of kids growing up there had books and with them bigger worlds within reach. This one hits close.

1. Michael Whatley, the GOP nominee for U.S. Senate in North Carolina, launched his general election campaign with an ad emphasizing that he travels in his GMC truck. A Popular Information investigation has found that Whatley has spent over 130K reimbursing donors for the use of private jets.

This is the logical outcome of Melania's robot, Linda McMahon calling it A1, and the chatbot tutors breaking COPPA to share the names, birth dates, family details, and conversations with kids.

So we know AI helped a negligible number of students. But how many did it harm? I've crunched the raw data provided by the lead researcher, and what I've found is that ~9,500 students using AI studied less than even the *least* studious, non-AI using student. This should shock the conscience.

What the dumbfuckery is this nonsense? What an absurd statement that would be disqualifying for anyone previously.

“Winning is the worst thing that could happen to the left” is a genre of commentary that you can expect to get more and more popular now that the “These wackos will never win” genre has lost its plausibility.

News sites be highlighting opinion pieces like they’re from regular people or some neutral expert, but the story about why hen houses need less security is written by the CEO of Fox Going to Steal Them Eggs Enterprises.

A lot of the “left vs. moderate” divide is consultant bullshit slapped onto messy voters after the fact. The class divide is real. Voters are complicated, contradictory, and a lot less clean than a sound bite. Respect them enough to stop treating them like a monolith.

Once you remove the money and consultants who get paid regardless of success, a lot of the “moderate vs. left” divide in Dem primaries starts to evaporate. Voters are not ideological blocs. They have contradictory views. The class divide is usually a lot more real than the political one.

Moderates keep punching left because it’s easier for them than punching up. Working people are getting crushed by rent, groceries, insurance, and corporate greed, and somehow, the biggest concern these political hacks and moderate candidates have is whether somebody gets called a socialist.

New in PN: Moderate Democrats have a choice to make "They can spend the next three months reinforcing Republican messaging about their party & making it less likely Dems take power. Or they can put the 'battle for the soul of the party' off for a while and do what they can to help their party win."

These people are not serious, nor do they care about the problems 99% of you and your neighbors are dealing with. This entire administration and those who support they have only changed laws to benefit Trump's family financially and their corporate donors who already had vast amounts of wealth.

As strongly hinted on OG Biz, NHL will produce Carolina Hurricanes games this season. Think pilot for NHL plans of a centralized model for games (MLB doing this too).
