NATHAN FIELDER: So now that you’ve seen it, can you tell me what was funny about that bit? ELIZABETH HOLMES: *smiling like the Smile Demon from the Smile horror movie series* The guy took a really long time to describe what his family’s act was

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

Part of me is sad that this story arc is ending, but I'm also immensely grateful that it was able to reach an actual conclusion after The Escapist's demise. Even having never watched any D&D-based stories before, I cannot recommend this series enough. Easily one of the best things on YouTube.

Tomorrow's episode is not the finale of the season... but it does have "Big Finale Episode Energy". Just 2 episodes left in this whole story arc for Adventure is Nigh! Watch Here:

If there’s a “revolution,” it will not be the Socialist Founding Fathers drafting resolutions in your city hall. It will be angry men with guns, careening through your community on jeeps. Which men? Why, the ones who’ve *always* wanted to do just that, ever since they were angry adolescents.

the intro to Batman: The Animated Series is one of the single best bits of storytelling ever done in any medium, an absolute masterpiece of character and atmospheric development achieved in a single minute with no dialogue

I wrote a comedy textbook about Native American history, people and culture! It's called “We’ve Been Here The Whole Time! A Not So Sacred Guide to All Things Native America.” It’s like if The Daily Show or The Onion wrote a book about Indian Country.

Count Binface must be shitting his pants rn at the remote prospect he might actually win like imagine you created this novelty character for some good satire and then reality is surreal enough that you may actually be required to govern

Guys I can’t keep doing this independently. I need a job. If you know of a place—advocacy, OSINT org, think tank, left media, etc—where I could take this work in-house, pls let me know. I admire the folks making independent work for them, but I am collapsing under the weight and the lack of impact.

A few minutes ago, two ICE flights operated by Journey Aviation landed in Eswatini, likely another third-country removal of immigrants to a maximum security prison there. Nineteen people have already been sent there on previous ICE flights in the last nine months. Only two have been released.

“OK, we gotta name these prickly guys next. Sort of a small porcupine. I was thinking—“ “Hog.” “You already named the big pink one hog.” “OK. Hog 2. “These are different. They live in shrubs and hedges.” “Hedge Hog.” “Fine, but last one. This next guy lives underground, scared of his shadow…”

John Bolton, who reportedly has reached a plea deal, is not another retribution prosecution, even though Trump hates him. There’s actually evidence and comparable people have been prosecuted. He’s the exception that proves the rule.

I did not know Colbert when I sat beside him at his desk. The first time we shook hands was just prior to this photo being taken, when I walked onto his stage and, under the applause, he asked if he had properly pronounced my last name. Which he did.

The redistricting wars feel like the whole of modern American politics: Trump picks a stupid fight, wages it idiotically, Democrats fight back and win, then some other American institution suddenly chimes in to hand the win to Trump anyway for being a very special boy and everyone gets mad at Dems
