Nature doesnโt argue over which flower is rightโ
It simply blooms together in the morning light.
Red state or blue state, LGBTQ,
We all demand tolerance, yet judge others too.
Before writing off someone you don't understand,
Remember: every flower belongs in this land.

Muir Woods giants (Redwoods).
The blue fringe around the canopy is not an artifact, Iโm not sure what it is but I think itโs related to branches in shadow as the early sun hits from an angle over the hills.
I like to think itโs a glimpse at the halos/auras of these amazing organisms.
Fiery-throated Hummingbird (Panterpe insignis): 10.9cm (4.3in). This is a medium sized hummingbird of the Talamancan montane forests, Costa Rica & western Panama. Adult birds have brillant green body plumage & a dark blue tail. A remarkable photo taken by Alfredo Irizarry in Costa Rica #hummingbird
I was once extremely depressed for 10 years and didn't think I'd live too long. I made it through with the help of my cat. She's gone now, but I never forget her.
Today I give to cats shelters in different parts of the US.
They save us.

Mustang Clover, Sequoia National Park, USA. Actually not a true clover but a member of the phlox family, it is entirely endemic to California, meaning it grows naturally nowhere else in the world #bloomscrolling#wildflower#flower#pink#naturewednesday#flowerphotography
โIf you will stay close to nature, to its simplicity, to the small things hardly noticeable, those things can unexpectedly become great and immeasurable.โ

Wishing you a lovely evening and a simple, wonderful Wednesday!

For many years, this hawthorn grew alone in an open landscape. Now a young species-rich rainforest ecosystem is building all around.
Nature loss isn't inevitable: it *can* be reversed, through rewilding.
A cooper's hawk that let me just walk right up to it the other day, because it wanted to catch up and had a few things to say.

The Australian King Parrot is one of the few birds where the male and female look completely different, males have a bright red head, females have a green one!
Chicks are born looking like females. Males only develop that crimson head after 3 years.
