While you’re trying all the cool new demos in this season’s Steam Next Fest, why not check out my demo while while you’re at it! It’s 100% handcrafted with love ❤️🦖 store.steampowered.com/app/4687290/... #indiegames #solodev #cozygames #platformer #SteamNextFest

As a white Australian I always end up in this weird middle ground where I don't want to steal folk stories of first nations people but the imported ones from Europe that I was brought up on have always felt a bit wrong, and I would love to incorporate my country into my art, but how?

I know that this is how it works but it always surprises me how quickly I consistently go from want to make art to want art to be reflective of me and my experience to need to learn about Australian native plants and wildlife because if I want to express my history I can't use generic assets

Putting a call out for TTRPG artists! Doing an initial discovery for an artist to work on a new cyberpunk, body horror action game I'm designing. Please link your portfolio! NO AI.

I have decided to catch up on JRPGs. Been too long. Doing Clair Obscur first because of everything that I have heard but I would love any and all recs you send my way. Eventually I'll have to make my own, but we're not there yet

I seem to have fallen into the trap of being online in various spaces but always being too afraid to take up space there. Going forward I will attempt to post more and actually exist in a way that other people can see

I have ended up in a strange place where my past projected would have resulted me in becoming super into soulslikes, but I was blocked from playing most games for a chunk of time, and now I don't know if I don't like what they became or I just missed the experience of the interim

In #Autostede news, following my mental breakdown at the possibility that my game was positively received, I won't be at #PAXAUS this year at all. With a bit of luck I'll be able to put together enough of my brain to join again next year

After all the work I have done trying to get a handle on my ADHD, today I fully blanked on the day of the week, and missed my daughter's second ever basketball practice... I am now that dad that lets the kids down and I am dying inside

Perhaps I missed a few news cycles, but I remember learning in school how the world is facing overpopulation and that the most important things are to embrace renewable energy sources and reduce the world population. What changed? Why are we now so worried about populations shrinking?

I'm looking for a TTRPG artist who might be available to create illustrations in the art nouveau style of Alphonse Mucha (not necessarily with women as the central element) Please let me know if you know an artist who might fit the bill. No AI art please.

😱😱😱 And just like that, it’s completely VANISHED from the media. A sitting congressman, Ted Lieu, said on the record the Epstein files are being blocked because they show Trump raped and threatened to kill children. Lets make this viral again 👇

I have been struggling lately with doing art because I need to do a particular art and I don't want to do that art, I want to try and get better at art first but then whenever I try and work on art I remember that I have an art that I need to do...

I will never write anything better than this and I am at peace with that

The horse op-ed is an instant classic. I can't tell you how much joy this piece gives me. It should be taught in every introductory writing class in no small part because the horse arguments are so compelling. "I have noticed that human children get to eat cake. But I am bigger than the children."

I wrk in mental health and my hottake is that the vast majority of people need to learn the difference between behavior that makes them uncomfortable and behavior that is potentially unsafe. People literally get people institutionalized, abused, or killed over not understanding the difference.

Everyone get normal about schizophrenia and severe positive and negative symptoms NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem I have with vibe coding and AI in general is that I can program more efficiently than I can speak plain english. I'm autistic, JS or C or Python makes WAY more sense to me than Conversation does

Ugh, I made so much progress, I was really starting to like the pixel art I was doing, then I ran into a creative slump, and now that I've overcome the block and getting back into it, it feels like I lost all of the skill that I developed

Not much to share for #DinoCleanup on this #WishlistWednesday, but thought I'd show a closer look at our triceratops friend Cera. They tend to the big tree in the centre of the hub (more on that later). #WholesomeGames #gamedev #indiegame #IndieDev

I feel like there's always a need to defend new #RPGs over DnD but what about the other way? What is it about #DnD5e that makes it better for a particular story than another game? Even if we assume it's for a heroic fantasy adventure, what specifically does #DnD5e do that improves the experience?

Ugh... I don't wanna have revolutionary new ideas about the role playing game I designed.. it's designed.. it's finished.. it's published.. I did a kickstarter and everything.. .. Should I start looking at a version 3? Or is there some sort of middle zone update / addon I could write?
